Christy hope the IEP stuff gets all worked out real soon.

Hope Deb is safe at the beach.

They cancelled school for bubba yesterday afternoon. So we will go to
work and see what needs to be done and donit so we can go home.

Have a nice long weekend everyone. Be safe.

Because of Earl?

I hope everyone in Earl's path stays safe.

DS got the lead in the fall play!!!!!!! And, he's one of 2 boys being considered for the 2 person one act play the teacher wants to take to Districts in January!!! My boy is doing good!!!!!!

I don't have to go to work until this evening and then it's not really work because it's a crop night. My Michaels is doing a test run of having crop night every Friday instead of once a month. I'm quite happy with that since I'm the employee who works in and I get to scrap my own stuff inbetween helping others. So today, I'll be unpacking my SDV scrappy stuff (I'm bad, it's been sitting in the living room since Monday:rolleyes1) and then pack up what I need for crop night. I'm also hoping my Toy Story cartridge comes today (it looks like it should) so that I can use that tonight for the Character swap!!

Have an awesome day everyone!

Yes because of Earl. I think they jumped the gin on this one. It's day 3 of school and they already have a make up day. :confused3

Stephanie- congrats to your ds!! I can't Wait until someday when he's famous I can say I remember when......:goodvibes

Eldest thought he should stay home too. You know, solidarity for your DS being made to stay home. :lmao::lmao:

Morning Ladies!

Stephanie-Awesome news about your DS!!:woohoo:
PD for the IEP situation.
Hope Earl stays away!!

It's Friday!!!!:dance3: 3 day weekend!!!:woohoo:

High school football tonight. Love this time of year! Our team is going to be featured on the local news for the 2nd week in a row as the team of the week (different station). DS wants to paint up again-hopefully he won't ruin another NEW UNDER ARMOUR FOOTBALL SHIRT like he did last week. His team lost last night (it was ugly) but he got tons of playing time and caught a couple of passes, almost scored on one. Took 4 guys to bring him down on the second one.

Busy weekend so I probably won't be back here till Monday or Tuesday. Tomorrow is DS8's game and I have to work at the park for a few hours, then Sunday we're going to north GA to go tubing. We go at Labor Day every year and have a blast! Wish we could camp there for the night, but DS14 has practice at 8 am on Monday!

Hope everyone has a great day and a great holiday weekend!!!:)

Got in last night - thanks to Rannnnnnnnn who grabbed us from the airport.

Dog was overjoyed to see us - he was funny! Not sure if he's noticed yet that one of us is missing...

Laundry is going - and going, and going!

Happy Friday everyone!

Good luck with the IEP, keep on those teachers
Congrats to our new star
Hope everyone on the East coast stays safe from Earl

We went to Megan's meet and greet at her school last night, her teacher seems very nice, Megan's not so nervous about school now. Talked a bit to her teacher about our situation and she will keep a good eye on my girl!

An easy day:

wipe down surfaces and swiffer floor, can't seem to keep those floors clean...
nail appt for both today
DM is taking Megan and my DN out to lunch and back to school shopping so I will have a couple quiet hours home along...hmmm what to do...
going to friends for dinner tonight

Have a great weekend everyone :flower3:

Megan just left with Grandma....load of towels in dryer and dishwasher running too...a bit for DIS and then I'm going to work on DH scrapbook!

Drive by on my new phone! :thumbsup2 The weather channel is broadcasting like 15 miles south of me. So far it's windy and bit of rain. No big deal. Everyone keep safe!

P&PD for Buffy and her fam, especially her DD!

Great news DIT!! Congrats to your DS!!

Joyah hope things go well!!

Rebecca I like how you are planning early for the holidays. You are making me motivated!

Anyone with an iPhone that likes scrabble?

Catching up this morning a bit with recent posts - sorry that some of you are going through rough stuff...Christy, Linda, Lisa, Buffy...wow.

Rebecca - I love the Organized Christmas site/folks - I've been doing their program for years. (It drives the rest of my family nuts, though! MORE LISTS?) But we really celebrate the entire month of December. It is a fun time for us and keeps our focus away from the "just having one perfect day on the 25th" kind of mindset. Having everything ready and done early allows me to enjoy the season too, without being stressed and cranky.

Christy - hope your butt-kicking of the sped folks works. I'll be thinking about you.

What's that? I hear my laundry piles calling. Did we really wear all this stuff during the past two weeks? I want to be back at WDW and on the cruise...

Mornin' all.......

Congrats DIT to DS!!! I knew he'd get the lead!! I'm now on to cheering that he gets the role in the one man show for January!!

Christy ~ hope IEP is resolved soon.... they should have never dropped the ball on that to begin with... and a pot-luck at school....(the kids here would starve; not enough parents would remember or the older kids wouldn't remember to tell the parents aobut it)

Holly ~ tell Bubba to enjoy his day off and sorry to hear they already have a make up day... :(

M2MRB ~ glad to hear the meet and greet went well.... that is always a good sign when starting a new school and getting back into the swing of school life again...

DB ~ congrats to DS for those wondeful plays.... Sorry they lost..but I think they learn from the defeats to be humble and work harder for the next victory... Dealing w/ defeats here w/ DsS16 who is the QB.... so of course it's always his fault... I keep reminding him..he owns up to his faults..but it takes the whole team to lose the game....
Congrats to being team of the week 2 weeks in a row.... that's awesome! (We are away tonight but I'm not traveling up)

Debbie ~ rain...glad it's only a bit of wind and rain.... I was watching the TODAY show and poor AL was doing all he could to stand and the winds were nothing compared to the other storms he said he had been thru when they were making landfall.... Glad to hear you all are safe!!

To everyone else... have a great day and an enjoyable weekend!!!!

Today:
grocery
lunch
pick up kids
clean up scraproom (want to scrap Saturday after morning activities and the rest of the long weekend)
pick up kids from practices
dinner
enjoy weekend!!!!

Yay!! The PBFs are home! Can't wait to hear all about it (and see those darned shirts, BTW)! We're down to under 60 days for our cruise and I'm reallllly getting excited!! I ordered some iron-on vinyl last night to make t-shirts for Pirate Night.

I can't believe they canceled school today, Holly, it's simply gorgeous outside right now.

Earl is supposed to be about 50 miles southeast of Nantucket, and the majority of the rain will be east of me, but we will probably get some wet stuff (supposed to start this afternoon, but be worst overnight). Morgan already had the day off (they always give them the Friday before Labor Day off, and then Labor Day), so she's at my sister's with the Sophster.

I'm at work...I had another rough morning. Woke up around 4:00 am with a headache and nausea. I've got to call the doctor.

So, I hope everyone has a great Friday and stays safe and dry!

DS got the lead in the fall play!!!!!!! And, he's one of 2 boys being considered for the 2 person one act play the teacher wants to take to Districts in January!!! My boy is doing good!!!!!!

Congratulations to DS!!

Eldest thought he should stay home too. You know, solidarity for your DS being made to stay home. :lmao::lmao:

With that thinking he'll be home every day in solidarity of his DIS cousins. :rotfl2:

Dog was overjoyed to see us - he was funny! Not sure if he's noticed yet that one of us is missing...

Imagine what he will do when she does come home.

What's that? I hear my laundry piles calling. Did we really wear all this stuff during the past two weeks? I want to be back at WDW and on the cruise...

Don't you wish you could have at least brought your cabin boy back? :goodvibes

Earl is supposed to be about 50 miles southeast of Nantucket, and the majority of the rain will be east of me, but we will probably get some wet stuff (supposed to start this afternoon, but be worst overnight).

Keep in mind when they are reporting they are talking about the eye, they overlook telling us when the rains and the winds that are up to 100 miles west of the eye. The storm is half over at that point. Good to be prepared just in case. Our schools are doing early dismissal at noon. At least they are getting the day in and won't have a make up on the books already.

My Friday to do list:

Started my day early - up at 3:30 am.
Feed cats - conned DD into doing that since she was up.
Clean kitchen
Throw a load of darks into the wash
Work
Balance checkbook
Send cards out to friends.
Keep an eye on the hurricane
Exercise
Oversee tubby time
bed to early since tomorrow is big tag sale day. Lots of Disney pins.s

Hang onto your Mickey Ears, here comes the rain.
