9/28/13. Disney Wonder 7 night Bahamian out of Galveston.

Only about a year away but I'm already getting super excited to be able to organize the meet and greet and the fish extender list.

There might be some newbies so as we get farther along i'll be sure to post some useful links...since I'm now a pro.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :)

Have a great cruise!

Yes its a little less than a year and my family and I are so excited and counting the days. This is our first cruise and after our vacation to WDW this past July we've decided to take a Disney Cruise September 2013 on the WONDER out of Galveston. Reading the DIS site daily and looking forward to reading some reviews and getting tips for the trip. Also still learning how to use this site and having fun with it. :thumbsup2

348 days and Counting!!!!!

:cool1:

You will have a blast!!!! This will be our second cruise. It's so much fun doing the cruise as well as the fish extender gifts. I think you will be hooked.

We are also planning a return WDW trip in Jan of 2015...can't get here fast enough!!!

Its a couple of weeks since we posted anything just recently purchased our luggage for the trip, (we needed new lugguage anyway) looks like our itinerary changed from carribbean to bahamian with a stop at Castaway Cay. I don't mind that change at all. Just recently went to Galveston last weekend spent a weekend at the beach and saw the Disney Magic at port. At least now I know where everythings at, where to stay and where to park for the trip. Never hurts to plan in advance. In 2014 we'll be goin back WDW probably for the whole week of Thanksgiving. Thats all for now, we'll check in later. :cool1:

:thumbsup2

Last time we posted was back in November. Hope everybody had a great holiday season. Still counting down. 9 months till cruise. Looking forward to hear from others. My first cruise also looking forward to meet and greets.

We are sailing on the Magic to Disney World on March 1st and are looking to book this one while inboard. I'll try to answer any questions about the port of Galveston when we get back. Look forward to getting to know everyone before the cruise.

Hey crew-

Hopping onto this thread. We just moved from an earlier Galveston cruise to this one. DW and I were on the first Magic cruise out of Texas...so may as well go 2 for 2. :) We're being joined by her parents on this one....its been on my MIL's bucket list to take a Disney Cruise and we're making it happen.

If y'all have any questions, fire away...be glad to answer any.

One point of clarification to start; this thread is titled as a Western Caribbean cruise but it's actually heading to the Bahamas. 1 Day at sea, a day at Key West, a day at Castaway Cay, a day at Nassau, then 2 days at sea before returning home. We're planning on getting a scuba dive in at Nassau. We'd hoped to be in port long enough to dive Key West as well, but will probably just end up getting drunk at one or both of the bars purporting to be Hemingway's old watering hole.

Only 1 month to go. Can't wait to see how Galveston port works with Disney. I know at Port Canaveral the porters are quick to get the bags. Are they as helpful out of Galveston?

We choose this as a Nassau trip, my bestest friend lives there. My birthday is on CC day, next day Nassau for a Bahamian celebration. Long day party at her house. Can't wait for all the good Bahamian food. Her neighbor makes the best fried biscuits.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself! I'm Mickey! My husband Joe and I are planning to take our kids Mia (age 6) and Joey (age 4) on this cruise as a special birthday surprise! The kids share a birth week, so how much more perfect could this be! This will be our first Disney cruise and I'm a little overwhelmed! Read through 10 pages of posts late last night. My husband is not a fan of cruises, but I'm hopeful that this one will change his opinion! So glad I found this forum! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We are cruising for my Birthday also. October 1, Castaway Cay and then on the 2nd my Bahamian friends are having a party at their house in Yamacraw for me.

Hi everyone! We just got off the Magic today (4 night/Galveston) and booked this cruise while on board. We will have our twin 23 month olds and our DS who will be nearly 4, along with a couple of grandmothers.

Yeah we are booking on board on our March 1st sailing. Did you get a good rate, also is the deposit still 10% and what is the on board credit? Thanks

It was the standard 10% deposit, 10% off, and OBC of $200 for 7 night.

Also, hate to leave you guys so soon, but we decided to change to an October sailing. The price was the same and the cabin selection was better. Have fun!
