I love that commercial, and if life would stop bringing the dump truck of stress to our house, I'd be feeling that way too. Too early to pack? Never!!!

That's the plan? Or is that YOUR plan? everyone at Rain forest? What time?

:cool1: Aren't you saying at CI &S at the port, whats your din-din plans? Great sea food. FISHLIPS WATER FRONTBAR & GRILL is good also, it is closer to your hotel, it's on the water-way where the ships come in. address;610 GLENCHEEK DR. phone 321-784-4533. wish we could be with you guys, but I bought those extra pts. at DVC and have to use them. We normally stay at the port the night B-4.but we are coming in on thurs. the 23rd to WDW. :)

I am staying at the Raddison at the port. We dont really have any plans for dinner. I needed to drop something off at a resort and thought about spending some time at Downtown Disney, but we may see if we can catch the Kennedy Space Center since Victoria is studying about space right now. She would get a kick out of putting reality to what is in the books.

I have been looking for a good seafood place. While I really dont enjoy it too much, my mom LOVES it and wants to go every time we go to Florida for FRESH seafood. Thanks for the info!

What are the shuttles like from the hotels to the ship? I am trying to decide whether to park at the port parking lot for the duration of our cruise, or take a shuttle from the hotel ... the savings would be nice, but I am afraid that the shuttles will be late/crowded.

We're going to try to visit NASA before or after the cruise ~ that and/or WDW for a day or two, I am a bit indecisive.

Jen, F Y I on NASA, you will not have enough time to go, It takes about 3 to 4 hrs. to see all and they close, I want to say 5 or 6 pm. 2 years ago we went got there kind- [1:30/2pm]-a- late and it seems we where the last to leave. You have to get there around 10am to see everything, and take in all they have. Good choice..:thumbsup2... take MOM out for FISH.TAKe her to FL. fish & grill....they have GREAT HUSH PUPPYS. FROm your hotel turn right & go south on atlantic,[ A1A] into CoCoa beach [ about 4.5miles] to fl. state rt. 520 , turn right on 520 and go down about 5 blocks it will be on the left side of the street just B-4 the river. After din-din if you need anything from WALMART go over the river, and it is down on the right side on 520, I want to say 2miles.If you come to the intersection of fl. state route 3 & 520, you have went to far.. Oh! YES , don't for get to go to RON JON surf Shop, its at the intersection of[ A1A ], ATLANTIC and 520. ENJOY.

We have done this in the past and it worked fine. We are opting for parking at the port this time for a few reasons. With the shuttle you don't have any control over exactly when you get to the port. If the shuttle is full you may have to wait for the next trip. When you get back you have to wait for the shuttle then go back to the hotel. If the hotel is very close, not a big deal.

All in all I'd say the shuttle is fine and will save you some money (though you will probably tip the driver it will be MUCH less than the parking fee) if you are relaxed about exactly when you get to the port and will not be in a big hurry when you get back. Check with your hotel, some let you reserve a spot on the shuttle, for some it is first come on the day of.

We stayed at Radisson once and were able to get on the first shuttle. We got to port as it was opening...so it did save a lot of money. We are driving over in the morning since we are less than 90min away.....hope to arrive at port by 1030am...but with 4 adults and two kids, you never know!:rotfl2:

Good Saturday Morning!!! Check it out - we have a new digit in the tens place today!!!! I am so ready but not ready to not have it to look forward to - lol. :rotfl:

On the agenda today - FEs and packing preparations. I think we are going to see my precious 91 year old mother next weekend, so I can't actually pack yet. She turns 92 the day we get off the ship, so we'll celebrate her birthday with her then. It sure does get harder to get the kids together to go somewhere when they're in college or when they graduate and have real jobs and lives of their own. I am thankful they will be going with us.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Morning! I hope you enjoy seeing your mother! I gotta get caught up with orders and make a big dent in my FE gifts. I may bring up my suitcase and see what I can get in there. I am about 80% sure I am going to ship them down early, but if i can fit them in my suitcase, that would be even better. That is my biggest concern over going. If I had the FE gifts all done, then I would be stress free!

Good morning!:cutie:
I cannot believe we are less than 30days! I guess I better buckle down and try to at least lose a few more pounds. I kind of slacked in the last month which makes me mad, but oh well...what can ya do!:confused3

Got some things for FE, but not done yet. I am a last minute type person, so the week before I will do most of my stuff. We just got done with all the stuff for Ryan's birthday (my son is officially 5 years old!):cool1:. Now we have our anniversary and my birthday before the cruise, Steve's mom flies in on the 24th and I work both days up to sailing....so it will come fast!:thumbsup2

I don't have my FE list in front of me to see how many people are in your party nor do I know how much luggage you might have, but we are driving and not opposed to lending a hand if we can accommodate you and your things.

As to which park - it really depends on you and your child. EPCOT has a great program for kids in World Showcase that makes it a lot of fun - even for little ones. Her height would be a determinant in the rides. AK has some great stuff for little people as well, but I think MK has the most rides that people can do. I personally don't think a hopper is worth it for one day at that time of year. I hardly think it is worth it for one day even when the parks are open longer hours. DHS also has things worthwhile for little ones, but I think you get more bang for your buck at MK.

Thank you for the kind offer- it is just the 2 of us on this leg of the trip.... as far as or luggage...:confused3. With stroller and car seat not sure just yet. But if I can minimize my packing :scared1: ( I am such an over-packer). i will pm you later as we get closer to cruise date and i start packing...thanks again

Thanks so much for the shuttle info :goodvibes I think we may end up opting for the port parking, the cost might be worth not worrying about getting there at a good time, shuttle being crowded, etc. With this being our first cruise and having no sense of the area, it might be better to have a little control over when and how we arrive and leave.

Thanks again :)
