I'm going on the Westbound transatlantic next Sept. I hope they have the same deal like they do this year. They didn't have a Wheelchair room this year. It was $2100 for a CAT 6. 14 days!!!!! I'm retired Military. Disney does the US Military right!

MARK , speaking of the U S Military, it was 41 years ago today that I came home from Viet NAM. Talk about your "JET LAG" , I left there at 1400 hrs. 5AUG 1969, and at 2pm Aug.5th, 1969 , I landed at O'hare, Chicago Il. Mark , I guess you could say that I re-lived 14 hour of my life over......HUH, never thought of it like that before.WOW-FAR-OUT! :scared1:

Well yesterday was pretty depressing.... I went swim suit shopping...need I say more... oh and the raw food diet....

Well guess it is time to start working on my FE bag and turning a Minnie Mouse dress into pirate Minnie.pirate:

Anyone doing a post WDW if so what hotel and are you doing a meal plan, i am working on that portion of the trip now:wizard:

@ Jen, I just inboxed you

Who all is doing high tea? I know Kamy is going and I thought Tikimimi was going too. Anyone else?

We are doing brunch, and Kamy and I are doing high tea with her mom and m-i-l.

I have bought all my FE stuff - wait, I did, but I have to go back since someone else was added and make sure I have what I need. Now it is a matter of making the main gifts - kids gifts are purchased. Maybe I'll get to some of them this weekend, but maybe not. Wedding tomorrow night and some other things over the weekend. It'll happen though!

I did check Food and Wine's menu - I was disappointed Rosa Regale was not on the menu for Italy - guess I'll have to get my own. :rotfl2:

We are staying post cruise, but we aren't doing the DDP since it is Food and Wine.

I was leaning towards the Pop hotel or Animal Kingdom...IDK

Would anyone happen to know what else is there to do around Disney that would be cost effective and fun for a 3 year old?

I cant wait for my 1st Mickey Ice Cream Bar...yummm, once I get on that boat, watch out food line here I come.

If you dont have any other plans, we are coming in on Saturday and staying at the port (radisson) and going to hang out there. We probably wont get there until late with having to drop something off at a resort and then the ice cream social...by the way, where did we decide that was going to be? Orlando or Port canaveral? anyway, after that we just planed on getting dinner if we hadnt had it and going swimming. I am going to see the boat come in at 4:30 am. If anyone else wanted to come to that, they are more than welcome.

Just an FYI Michaels has tons of disney stuff in their dollar bins along with alot of interesting non-disney things that would be great for FEs

Jen will be at the port on Sat also keep us posted about the ice cream social

Is anyone working with a travel agent (TA) or doing all your own planning.
Well just last month I had this bright idea that DD adn I need a break we needed to get away and DBF thought it would be a good idea as well. So once he said that I went online and booked our cruise, the flight. Well now I think I need a TA for the small details like transportation and hotel and what to do until we depart on 10/02 in the am.

So if I sound a little scattered brain:eek: well chalk it up to all the small yet major details and the diet.:scared1:

I will say on a brighter note I have completed my FE shopping and just have to pick up some Michigan goodies to share with you all. And one of our bags is already packed.

So, Breezin the the Bahamas friends please pardon the up-coming stupid questions that I will be posting:laughing:

When I tell you it so much FYI about WDW and DCL it is a wonder I am not a basket case.

But I feel safe with you guys and gals, you all seem to have it together.:worship:

@ Jen, let me do a little more research and get back to you on the ice cream social. I have a few ideas, just checking on a few things first.

Ahhh the facade is complete! :rotfl2: You are more then welcome to ask any DCL questions to me at least. When I booked my cruise back in April, I went completely obsessed with all things cruise and bought the passporter book and poured over the board. So I will help as much as i can! I used a TA only for the OBC and that is all I have gotten from her. I am renting a car and staying at the Raddison because i wanted to wake up and immediately see the ship. Plus I wanted to be one of the first to get a boarding ticket. I was going to do WDW first but man they are expensive and I didnt think I could enjoy a day there coming in in the afternoon and leaving ASAP to get to the cruise.

If someone doesnt give me any definite details on the ice cream social I am going to plan it for Port Canaveral.

Tell ya what. Who all wants to participate in that, tell me where you are going to stay the night before and where you want to have it, Orlando, or Port Canaveral.

Looking at google maps it looks like our hotel is between the Country Inn & Suites and the Radisson so we should be near where most people are staying. Let us know about the ice cream...or dinner plans that you all are making. We may stop by!:thumbsup2

We're staying free at the Residence Inn on points!:cool1:

OK well, why dont we go ahead and plan it then? I have no idea where any ice cream parlor is. Why dont we just plan dinner and hope they have ice cream? We can just wrap the two together? LOL

I was thinking that cruisecrasher wanted to join us too? I cant remember

Who's the cruisecrasher? I must have missed something. Or are you talking about your other cruise?;)

I think our flight comes in around 2:30 and we are thinking of running over to the Boardwalk for a bit b/c I HAVE to have some vanilla taffy which they sell at the candy store there!:thumbsup2

Other than that we don't have anything else planned.

Hey Jen,

Do you have any idea when Jordak will have our magnets done? I can't WAIT to see it!:goodvibes

Trying to be patient...but it's NOT working!;)

We're staying post-cruise at the Grand Floridian. The whole family is running in the family 5K at the Magic Kingdom. Its the first race for all of us, so we figured Disney was the perfect place to do it!

Most of the Disney Moms Panel will be there too - its our reunion weekend where we all get together for some fun with the families :goodvibes

We're hoping to get down to the port on Saturday, but I'm not 100% sure yet. We may be last minute on it, as Hubby is on call that day. Our arrival time will depend on how things are going with his work. :surfweb:

We've been talking. Actually he asked me about it tonight, asking for more names. I do wish he would let me see what he has done, but he hasnt offered. I might ask for a sample.

Kelsey's Pizzeria is right near the Radisson and is getting good reviews on TripAdvisor. Don't know if pizza sounds good to anyone else...just trying to get something near the majority of our hotels.

Thoughts?:confused3

That's good for me. Victoria ADORES pizza and so does her Aunt Karen. Do they sell ice cream? LOL
