9/24 AIRTRAN fr MCO to PHL changed

Just a FYI for anyone on this flight--

Thank goodness i read these boards or else i probably would not keep track for any changes for my Sept Airtran flight to MCO......(i would have checked a day or 2 before my flight- but this is better to know beforehand)

just checked the site and it looks like we were originally departing MCO @ 5:15pm- but now it was moved up to 4:59pm---

not a BIG deal, but its already good to check.

Not one week after I bought a ticket on Airtran for Oct. on the only non-stop flights between Orlando and Bloomington, IL. - Airtran cancelled the non-stop flights (except on Saturdays)! They had me leaving home at about the same time and connecting in Atlanta - arriving at 10:40 p.m. - which was unacceptable to me. I called and they put me on an earlier flight leaving home, so now I'll arrive in Orlando at 5:30 instead of 8 p.m. - as originally scheduled. I like getting in earlier, but would've preferred a non-stop.

Then DELTA changed their schedules so that they no longer fly from my hometown to Cincinnati - where I was to connect to an Orlando flight on Thanksgiving Day! I wonder when these airlines were planning on notifying me of these changes? Now I'm flying through Atlanta...again!

Ah the game we play to get good prices to fly. My Airtran flights for Oct have changed 4 times and my recent trip to Texas changed many times......

My trip out is on a Saturday so I am hoping it will not change- i like to fly early (7am- would prefer earlier- but 7 was the best time) I am crossing my fingers that wont change--

but on the way home- i dont mind so much about the time change-- just as long as they dont change it from a NON stop!

i wonder what the chances will be??

Same thing out of PIT, June flight has changed 4 or 5 times (I forget which LOL) & the return was moved up 8 hours.

BTW, we switched to an evening connecting flight in order to enjoy most of our last day @ WDW.

I currently have a problem where I can't track my Oct. flight from their reward section of website. Although the confirmation number is listed in my account, when I click on the button; it indicates the flight is not available?????

I've called CS & they've insured me that all is well & we still have a ressie but, it's very disconcerning. I cannot figure how I'll be able to check in on-line either...grrr.

My flight out of Pitt. in August has also changed 4 times. It leaves sooner so I am not worried. I also can not check my flight it gives the same message, I have contacted Air Tran and have been assured that my ressie is still there. Hope that I have no problems checking in online.

Misery loves company LOL...

Had problems checking in last Dec. out of PIT too for some reason. Called their Rewards dept. & they assigned us seats. When we got to the airport the next day, the seats weren't available for some reason??? but, we still got decent ones even though the flight was full.

I hate sitting in the back - don't like to fly in the first place & get so claustraphobic back there.

Airtran loves to fiddle with their flight schedules... I was going to fly down nonstop in Oct from Moline, IL on a Friday, when they suddenly cancelled all of their mid-week (mon, wed, fri) nonstop flights for most of Aug, and all of Sept and Oct! Had to move things around, and was luckily able to add an extra day to the front end of my hotel reservation. My sister, her husband, and two kids were switched from an already booked nonstop return flight, to a one-stop flight at a different time, and they never sent an e-mail or any other kind of notice! Just have to keep monitoring things like a hawk...

Im so glad to hear others are experiencing this. My flight in August changed literally by several hours. Airtran never emailed me to notify me of any changes. One day I just happened to retrieve my ressies and couldnt, so i called airtran directly and they simply explained "you probably cant access it because it changed by several hours"! I thought, yes thanks for the notice, we were supposed to leave at 230 PM on august 26th and they changed it to 9AM from PHL-MCO.

Delta has always been very nice about non-voluntary schedule changes and allowing us to choose another flight. This is our first time flying AirTran. Our flight from MCO to ATL on Sept 30 has changed by over 3 hours. Can I call and request a later flight? Should I wait to call since it's still 3 months away?

I would call now.. what if you cant get a later flight if you wait?? eeeek

call now for this change and if they change it again and you are not happy....call when they do it again!

I just called AirTran and they switched us to the 6:15pm flight (last one) with no fees and no hassle at all. In fact, they couldn't have been nicer! So now I have an extra 2 hours at WDW. yippee!

Gee, last year we flew Air Tran with no changes or problems at all. I just checked the reservations for this September and they have changed the Orlando departure time - moved it up 30 minutes. I would have never thought to check.

I did send them an email. I am hoping no more changes!
