9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Is there a way to do it without the magnetic paper? My printer at home doesn't really work so well and I guess I could try it at work but I don't want to break anything! I'll have to check those boards out.

I have to get a passport!!! How long did it take to get yours? I've been hearing 2-3 weeks so I've been procrastinating.

You can also just print it on regular paper and then get magnetic strips. I got my magnetic paper yesterday! I haven't printed on it yet though, I will let you know how it works!!

My Passport came in exactly 3 weeks from when I applied for it. I think it might come quicker if you apply at the actual passport office instead of the post office, but I hate driving in Chicago, so I just went to the post office. I filled out the form online and it only took like 5 minutes.

I will definitely have to look more into making magnets for our door. I saw in pictures some people had the Disney font spelling out their names on their doors. It looked really cute!

Well, I printed my first magnet last night! It came out really good on my home printer, I just put it on photo mode so that it would print its best. It looks really cute!

The weather here totally stinks!! It was so windy last night, I thought the house was falling apart. And it is below zero wind chills again...I wish spring was here already!! I am going to FL in a week and a half though. Not to Disney though, Sad . But I am going to Busch Gardens, so that should be fun!

At least you'll get to escape the cold for a little while. I've never been to Busch Gardens! It's on the warmer side here today, in the 50s. That's warm for February! I can't wait until the spring either.

Hey Y'all i'm sorry i haven't been posting anything the flu really took it out of me I am still pretty weak and tired. I NEVER WANT THAT AGAIN!!! I have gotten my pictures for my passport but getting my DFi to go out and get his is more difficult i have gotten the mouse ear paint sample papaers from home depot but i am using them for my photo album. I am already going to be packing so much stuff that i dont think i am gonna make the magnets for our door. I am as yall have read making shirts for us to wear at the parks and my friend who owns an embroibery shop is making us the bride and groom ball caps to wear.

So I just booked 2 nights at the Pop for after the cruise. I'm looking at All Star Movies though and thinking I may switch over there. I've never been there and my DBf loves Toy Story and I love all things hockey, so it would probably be a good fit...

I have had family members stay at all of them and the POP is their least favorite they said that the rooms seem smaller than the other all star resorts and that the walls let alot more sound in from their neighbors rooms but i have never stayed at them but i would either stay at the ASMu or ASM i think they look cool i love the giant toy story characters my mom said that she will prob. stay at ASM when she takes my DB he will be 6 when they go and he loves Toy Story.

Hi Lainey!! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better, sorry to hear you were so sick. The flu stinks!

I have only ever stayed at Pop, and our bed there stunk!! The springs were popping up and poking us all night, it was actually kind of funny. We got there really late (like 3am) and were only there for 1 night...it was a nice place to stay -- the theming was great, but the bed was not so good!! I have heard that they have new mattresses now though...so maybe it isn't a problem anymore. That's fun you will be there after the cruise, we will be there for the whole week after, but at Saratoga. I just can't wait for the food & wine festival!!

I wish we could stay at the resort again after the cruise but since my DFi works for the Rail Road he only gets 2 weeks off a year and one he is using for the week of our wedding and the other for our honeymoon so we have to go back home after the cruise. it sucks but he said since we werent able to stay at WL and he wanted to so he said that we are going to have to go back and stay there.

I'm still unsure of what to do about my reservation. I love POP but I think my DBf would really love ASM. He's really into movies and aspires to be a director! And from the pictures I've seen, it looks identical to POP, just older.

I think I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled. My teeth have been killing me for the past few days. Not so bad today but all weekend I had trouble sleeping because of them. I took the day off yesterday because I kept taking Advil PM to sleep and when I woke up in the morning...wow, yeah, no way was I going to be able to drive my car. I guess I'll have to make a trip to the dentist soon.

I had mine taken out over Easter my junior year it wasn't that bad (but the oral surgeon i had was one of the best in Ga) I had no swelling and only a tiny bruise on my jaw other than that i was fine. The only other problem i had was that since my DM faints at the sight of blood i had to change my own gauze in my mouth that was fun since i was doped up on pain medication. They had given me the choice of being given local anesthetic or general and i of course chose general i figure if they are gonna dig around in my mouth i want no memory of it. (I have already had one surgery on my teeth when i was 7 and they had to give me a local b/c they couldn't find a vein to give me the general so from then on i have always chosen general whenever i am given the choice. I hope you get to feeling better Jen (@least it is now and not Sept.)

I guess it varies, how people react to having them taken out. My DBf's bro just had his pulled and he seemed fine. When my cousin had his taken out, he was a disaster and seemed high from the painkillers they gave him. I'm definitely going to have them taken out before the trip because I don't want this coming back and me being miserable while I'm at the World. Not being able to eat all the yummy food on the ship would be a bummer too!!

I am so much more evolved than the two of you!! I only have two wisdom teeth, which are so far impacted that they will never need to be taken out. My dentist told me that eventually, we will not have wisdom teeth at all because humans used to use them to cut up their food, but now we have knives for that so we don't use them. So, therefore, I am just very evolved since I don't have all four!! LOL

That sucks that you have to have them pulled though, but i'm sure you will be fine. Good luck with that!!

Thanks! I'll be making a trip to the dentist in the near future, I'm sure.

So I made the switch today from Pop to ASM and got a preferred room. I asked for one of the Fantasia buildings, since I liked the decor so much and my DBf loves that movie. Plus, those buildings are in the middle of everything! And when I got to thinking about it, this trip is all about new experiences. We've never stayed at POR, never been on a Disney cruise, so why not switch it up to another resort we've never stayed at?

Now all I have to hope for is that Disney comes through with free tickets for me. If they don't, we'll still have one day left on our hopper from the land and sea and we're already planning to go to Universal for a day anyway. But the free tickets would include the water park option and I have my heart set on going to Blizzard Beach for a day so....keep your fingers crossed. I won't know til probably 2 or 3 weeks before the trip!

For me the only thing that we are doing that i have never done is staying at the Poly I have never stayed there but i have always wanted to. For my DFi on the other hand this is going to be a trip of new experiences since he has never been on a plane, never been on a cruise, never been to the Bahamas and that last time he was at the World he was 3 so really he has never been to the world since the only things he can remember are the Dumbo ride and It's a Small World which everyone can remember no matter how much we try to get that song out of our heads. Oh I made our shirts for the trip i made 3 but we may only end up wearing 2 of them they look pretty good even if i am having to wear mens shirts but i didn't like any of the p[lain womens shirts i saw. I am gonna take some pictures of them i would post them on here but i have NO CLUE!! how to do it i am good at emailing them but that is about it.

I saw the first two pics but not the others. Could be because I'm at work and the surf control is blocking them for whatever reason. But anyway, they're really cute! You're getting married on my bro's birthday That's the day we're leaving to go down to Florida. We're driving!

We are flying out the next day on an 8:30 am flight so that we get to orlando at around 10am and to the hotel at about 11 at the latest so that we can go to MGM (not HS!!)
