LoriS-I feel for you girl about the A/C.. Ours konked out yesterday morning. And wouldn't you know it, the warranty expired in Feburary After many different phone calls and trying to self diagnose it, we had someone out. Of course, we had to pay the 'holiday' rate and blah blah blah. Fortunately it was the motor something another and I checked online to see about the pricing, they had only raised the price by a couple hundred which I didn't think was so bad at that point when I am dripping sweat!!

Kim-right there with you on the packing cubes. I just bought a couple more boxes of Ziplocs today... Can't help you on the CI&S though

Holly-you are so sweet to do the pricing and stuff right before the big day I bet your mind is going in 100 directions. Can't wait to see some pictures!!

MY SON TONY IS 10 AND WOULD LOVE TO MAKE AS MANY FRIENDS AS POSSIBLE.

My DS will be 9 (two months from 10) on the cruise and he would love to meet Trevor and have a "friend" in the club. He will also have a friend that used to go to school with him on the cruise and his cousin (both of them are almost 10 as well). Send me a PM if you want the boys to say "hello" before we get the the port then we can look for you there as well.

So excited there will be other boys. Would love to try to have the kids meet. Open to how to make this happen. We are staying the night before at the Marriott. Also, Yonkers Girl love your door magnet photo.

Some OB travel planning....

Cruise docs arrived as expected...but DSIL stuff wasn't included in our packet! Turns out since I had begun the checkin process online and put in her address for the credit card form since we're using her new Disney Visa for our stateroom expenses--they shipped her materials to her directly.

Back off my drinks woman! I'm quite able to imbibe (college varsity drinker I am ) The morphine is 'as needed' so I'm good to go!

Got all our flights. Just need to fiddle with the seat assignments to get my preferred location. Flying into TPA and will stop off to see relatives on the way to pick up DSIL from MCO.

So that means changing car rental pickup. Will probably still go with Avis but I noticed that Thrifty does not charge the one-way fee for TPA-Cape vs $40 for MCO-Cape.

Need to call the bank to order my traveling card (an extra card drawn on my account that I use only during travel and then have cancel when I get back). Don't think I'll take a decoy wallet--one filled with used up gift cards and about $20 in $2 bills...it's hard enough to spend a $2 bill in the USA, try it in a foreign country with being noticed

Okay, I finally have a spare minute to retype how we surprised the kids. We booked very late (a few weeks ago) so we didn't have time to plan something bigger. Here is what we did. I sent DH down to the beach before us to bury a metal princess disney box. Inside the box was a note written to the girls on Disney Cruise Line notepaper. They had just gotten metal detectors a few weeks earlier and were having a lot of fun "detecting" anything metal. They hadn't used them at the beach yet, and I was a little worried they'd work okay as they are really for kids and not professional quality. I told DH not to bury the box too deep so they'd work. After DH left I told the girls he had to run an errand and that he wanted to met us down at the beach for a family walk. Then I mentioned that they might want to bring their new metal detectors to see if they'd work at the beach. They were all for it, so no convincing had to be done. We drove down to the beach and met DH who had already buried the "treasure". We started to walk and the girls started detecting. We told them it would probably work better right up by the rocks (where DH had hidden the box). Here they are detecting.

Then they hear the beep and start digging

They are surprised to find a metal Disney box that looks just like one they have at home

They open it up and take out the note inside. It is written on Disney Cruise Line note paper.

They start reading the note and are still not quite sure what is happening, but are starting to understand.

Now they get it! The note says that they are invited to a Disney Cruise!

As the news settles in they jump and run around the beach!

Then they go grab Dad to celebrate with them

In all the excitement the metal detectors are forgotten. They have done their duty.

The girls keep looking at the box and reading the letter again and again.

The beach trip ends as they talk about cruise plans with Dad!

We finished up the night by eating mango soup that I had made and hidden away earlier. Mango soup is one of our favorite things to eat at lunch after we get on the boat. Then we all went to bed dreaming about the Disney Magic!

Getting excited now.... leaving in 1 week and 1 day

Haven't been on the boards in a little while and lots to catch up on.

Finally got stuff packed for the girls and finished my FE after dh bought me a Jenome embroidery machine last week.

Unfortunately, I had also connected with the ebay lady who does some wonderful work and had asked her if she could and would ship to canada.. It took her forever to respond and now she has shipped off a FE as well - I guess I will have 2 now.....,

I am still assembling the FE gifts, and I too need that list to me e-mailed to me...; anyone??? Please

My parents are getting very excited and again THANKS in advance to everyone bringing a postcard for them.

Loris and hannahguad- So sorry about the lack of AC!! It's so hard when it's humid on top of hot-kinda reminds me of hell at the end of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (we still have that here at Disneyland and they really keep that room hot and humid!) Hopefully it will all get resolved soon!

Is there anything you guys found you needed or wished you had? I want to get a list finalized today so I can start shopping/packing. For those of you who got glitter spray, does it work pretty well? Where did you find it? My girls are definitely glitter girls!

Carol - We got our glitter spray at Ulta (I think Paige got hers there, too). It works great! It's not gel or anything like that, it's just a liquid you shake up to disperse the glitter and then spray on the hair when it's all fixed and VOILA! GLITTER HAIR!! I.....um, I mean, my girls LOVE it!

It worked great. It loaded quickly and as I have an older computer and it usually takes a while to load pages that is saying alot. The pictures looked great! Awesome job!

Still no A/C for us, and we won't have it until at least Wednesday. I won't be home tomorrow, so they hope to get here first thing Wednesday morning. Chris went and bought a window a/c and we will be sending them the bill for it. THey did get a guy out here this morning, but he now says it's a wiring problem and he also fried the fan that had still been at least moving some air around. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and a local news station.

just checking in...busy today cooking, cleaning and hostessing but everyone is at the pool now and I am here in the silence. ahhhh.

I have days that I just go crazy with my handheld steamer and today was one of those days...I steamed the microwave, refrig, dishwasher, sinks, windows...you name it, I steamed it! Love that thing, could not live without it...that and my floor steamer! I even steamed our outtaman! yes I got jiggy with it our company came late so I had extra time on my hands! my puppies sure hate to see me with the steamer b/c they know I am going to run them outta here!

loris - glad you contacted the BBB and news station! good for you...no one should have to deal with those guys...sorry you are having too! have a great day out tomorrow and stay cool.

yep- I got the glitter spray at Ulta too. My bottle broke (the sprayer) so i put it in a traveling spray bottle I have....dd loves that stuff! you may see us a mile away in the sunlight! bling! feel free to borrow some YA'LL!
