9/19/09 Western Magic

I can't believe we are under six months now! Whoo
In Key West we are renting an electric car and exploring on our own.
In Grand Cayman we are going to the turtle and butterfly farms as well as the rum cake shop through Disney.
If we get off in Cozumel, we will either do the Mexican feast or the all inclusive resort.
If not, we will stay on the ship and spend some time in the spa.
I have a plan for the FE and I can't wait to be onboard!

Funny, someone should mention no excursions. I just posted over on a pretrippie about that! How it sometimes seems everyone is doing everything and I am just the poor relation trying to get on the boat! oh, and pay my tips!

Seriously though, with "only" six months to go I am feeling like every month I am budgeting a little bit more to cover the next thing I want to do! We are not a family who generally plans our vacations more then a month or two "out" calendar wise so this is just crazy feeling for me. So glad to have time to save up though!

Yonker's Girl? Any luck yet? Sure wish I could help but I am nearly computer illiterate, trust me, you do not want my help! You know that one guy who has the really detailed excel packing list on here? He just post a link to his blog or something and post the excel sheets over there? Sorry, wish I could help. I do have a list of FE suggestions I compiled from reading various things on here for the last few months if anyone is interested? I can just type it into a seperate post or something?

In Key West we are renting scooters or an electric car and just touring on our own.

Grand Cayman-We haven't decided but DH would like to snorkel and I would like to visit the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory. We will probably do something on our own.

Cozumel-We are still brain storming this one. I'm pretty sure we won't rent a jeep on our own now due to the travel warnings and liability issues.

Nvcruiser-If DH decides to due the DCL ruins excursion in Cozumel he will be doing it on his own. I'm not interested in rocks! I would very much like a buddy to explore with. I think we'd be alot safer than alone. What type of things do you enjoy? I know DH would feel alot better if he knew I had a buddy for the day and wouldn't feel like he was leaving me to fend for myself. We are waiting for the new Passporter 2009 book that we pre-ordered. DH wants to read the reviews on the excursion before making a final decision. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Sounds good! Keep me posted! All I really want to do is get my bracelet charm from Diamonds International and pick up some nick-nack that proves I've been places! Hoping to get started on FE stuff in the next month... gotta love waiting for payday to roll around! Where's that dang money tree when I need it!

I would love to see that list as well! I have so many idea's going through my head right now, that I don't know what I am going to do! I should say-order. Because I am thinking I am going to have to order some things, because I have no crafty bones in my body. I even asked DH what he thought, I just got a "um-yeah". Had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I am going to tell him next time when I talk about FE gifts is that I read somewhere on the 'DIS' that they received beer! That should get his attention and participation.

Yonker's Girl, I wish I could help as well. I even just finished a course in computers, but, it was more on Powerpoint presentations.

I will keep you posted Nvcruiser. I told him today that I might have someone to walk around Cozumel with a little. I think he is leaning towards doing the ruins excursion through DCL.

Oh, I love it! Your DH is very talented. I am getting mine from ebay. I bought my DM one from there for Christmas and it was very nice. Unfortunately I have to personalize it so it doesn't get legs even when we tie it down with cable ties. I can manage iron-on names, but, no stitching! I would stitch my fingers to it if I attempted!

I wish it was September already!!

Paige your FE looks great. I am not good with a needle and thread so I ordered ours on Ebay. It's kind of generic looking compared to yours. I am excited about the gifts I have planned for the FE though.

Your FE looks great. I'm getting help from my neighbor who sews, they had some really cute fabric at walmart. I haven't gotten a pm about the list, I'm not included on the first page but on Yonkrs_Girl post #683 I am added, did you notice if my family was on your list. BTW to everyone disney cruise is on the travel channel right now , came on 10am est. I've watched it a million times since before my first disney cruise but its something that I don't get tired of watching ang getting us much more excited.

Thanks for posting a pic of your FE Paige! It looks great. I have fabric but that's as far as it's gotten!

I have been a bit nuts around here and not able to get back on and play.

I did do a search to find all the FE gift threads again and there are some fun ideas out there. My list is kinda limited but I am getting it together to send out. I have a resale this weekend (the only way I have of making money besides craigslist as a SAHM!) and am swamped this week through weekend but early next week I should be able to post.

Thanks for helping Yonkers girl out with the FE participants list. I will email for the excel version soon.

All of your info. should have been on there - sorry, Tammy - I will double check. I didn't include adult ages so it should just say 3 adults and no cabin # for you. We only included the ages of the kids since some are getting age specific things.

I will be sure and check the list.

For those who asked what people usually give...we have gotten sitckers, candy, notepads, tatoos, magnets, CD's, cookbooks, pens, pencils, marker sets, etc. Some also did things that were from their state, etc. Like state quarters, Creole seasoning from LA, etc. Hope that helps!
