Checking in for Roll Call Can't believe we are one month away!!!
Steve and I have been very busy getting last minute stuff done especially since we are still working on wedding stuff, our pre cruise trip to Disney and our recent purchase of the DVC! Yikes! All of our FE gifts are finally done! I can't wait to see all the creative things everyone has come up with
I hope we get our cruise docs soon, does anyone know if you get them later if you go through DU or if they are sent directly to your house?
Can't wait to see you all and pass out those bracelets! You guys are gonna them! Hope everyone has a great "hump" day

My DH and I will also be on this cruise. We did our honeymoon 3 years ago on a RCL cruise. It was good, but I so wish we had done DCL.

Just checking in. Yea Yea Yea!!!!! exactly 1 month till we set sail
I can now officially start packing, but since we in the Northeast are finally experiencing summer , I need to wear all my summer shorts and tops that I will be taking with me. Looks like I will be doing they night before we leave

I am also trying to calculate hair and nail appointments and there are still some on-line purchases I have to get to very soon.

Hi Everyone!!! I am home from surgery and here for roll call.

Wow! That was a hard surgery this time. Boy was I sick! I think it was the fact that I had two surgeries in 8 weeks. I am still not feeling great but I am able to at least get on the computer for a little. Hopefully now I am on the road to recovery and will be back to my old self. Thank you to everyone for the well wishes. It's nice to know that there are so many people that care.

I think we are mostly ready. Our pirate costumes came, as well as some other things that I had ordered. I am really hoping that my stuff will fit. My stomach is so swollen that I look about 6 months pregnant

Well need to go back to bed. Hope everyone has a great day!

We are all here just doing our thing - homeschooling, packing, waiting for room assignment....

I got a wild hair last night at like 10pm (we are all night owls and later sleepers), and decided to try some princess hairdos on the girls. Here's a picture (just with my blackberry, so really small and a bit blurry). I think it turned out fairly well, esp. since it was my first attempt, and not trying TOO hard.

They absolutely LOVED IT!!!!

Lori, I forget, do your girls know they are sailing for their birthdays or is it a suprise for them? What an awesome birthday trip!

They finally know, they got a letter and a special t-shirt in the mail from Mickey Mouse telling them we were going.

LoriS-I keep watching to make sure you are still bringing the birthday girls!

We will be there, we are all so excited. We all have a stomach bug this week, so hopefully that means it will be gong from our house for a few more years.

texasbloke - glad to know I am not the only one with phone mania!! would LOVE an 8 as well and last time I looked into it the TA told me it would be an additional $1000 . no way jose! at this point I think I would have to convince dh to move $$$$...he tells me "how long will we really be in the cabin...and in CAT 11 no light comes in so maybe the kiddos will sleep longer...which is so true but I do not want to sleep our cruise away
like gretchen we are all night owls around here but that is going to change...school starts Tuesday and my dd will be in shock
gretchen - you did a great job on the princess hair! we maybe heading to your cabin for dd's hair I have been experimenting with hers too. DH learned to french braid for me for the trip (I have carpal tunnel in both hands) and my grip is poor so he was so kind to do it. He still has not gotten his hand "stance" down yet so we all have to hold a piece for him to do it tight...it is a family project As you can tell he is a good man...and very good to me. Not many men would learn to braid, right?
He is a talker too...but it really depends on what kind of situation...when traveling he talks to everyone unless he is plotting something...like where the cabin is...when can i tour the ship alone...where can I get a cuban cigar and where can I smoke on the ship...etc
As I have said it takes me a bit...but only because I am making sure that when I open up I am not going to get my feelings hurt "once bitten, twice shy!" but none of you seem that way at all!
Well back to my list! And maybe off to sell some old gold jewelry for a little cruise money can't decide if I want dh to go with me or go alone.
MONKEY WRENCH - I had to order a new passporter pouch last night...we looked all over for ours and it is MIA....cannot travel Disney without it!

Welcome aboard You could always pretend this is your honeymoon We have several other honeymooners onboard so the boat will be arockin' anyways!

mamjojo- glad you are done with surgery and hope that you are back on your feet in no time. hang in there and we will all think happy thoughts for you!

No calls for us either regarding upgrades, but we are in a cat 5 so I don't think we will be offered one...hope we get those documents soon though!

Oh my gosh!! ONE MONTH!! Is anyone else feeling a bit of elation mixed with an extreme amount of being overwhelmed with so much to do??? That and I have a confession-I have been watching the weather reports like an eagle... My husband thinks I am nuts. I told him the only thing I am worrying about is not getting our full 7 days on that ship!! I don't care where we are, as long as we are on that boat!!

First, JODY---so glad you are on the road to recovery!! I used to tell the patients that I worked with that biggest hurdle is those first couple days after, then it is a sllllooowww uphill road to getting back to even feeling human. Take your time, don't push yourself.

Is anyone else planning on shipping there FE gifts ahead of time?? If so, how much time are you allowing it to get there? I finally have a grasp on finalizing my FE gifts and sat DM down the other day to get hers done as well.

Gretchen, love the hair!! My DD will be right there in line with Paiges daughter!! I stink at doing hair. I never figured out how to french braid and I used to just get a perm every 5 months just so I didn't have to do my hair.. Oh well, I will be the one wearing a hat all the time. Just kidding, couldn't even wear one of those...
Oh well, off to the dreaded dentist for myself. I HATE the dentist. Good thing it is only a cleaning, I will be very upset if it results into anything else..

Hi everyone!! Checking in for roll call! Can you believe we are just 30 days away? I'm a bit jealous today because my wife's sister and her family are now vacationing in Orlando and will be on the Disney Magic on Saturday, YES! they are sailing to the Western Caribbean as well. Good news is that I will get 1st hand info about the ship and the ports of call as soon as they get off the ship.

We have our FE gifts ready and I can wait to have the FE participant list complete with all your cabin #s, By the way, we went shopping last Sunday and bought a little extra gift for the 3 couples who will be honeymooning, it's just a 'little something', but I'm pretty sure you Disney fans are gonna love it.

Jody, Glad your surgery went well, you will be sure in good shape at the time of our cruise .

Can't really wait to meet you all in just one month.

Busy busy board today! I for one, need to leave this computer I sat down to print up a little note that you will need with our FE gift and got sidetracked into printing out more magnets!

Must get back to work, the house is falling apart around me as I run the kids to all their last minute summer things, run errands to pick up last minute cruise things, answer three phones and pass messages between family members (the curse of teens and a DH who all have phones they leave for me to moniter while they go about their lives) cause we all know Mom is just sitting around eating bonbons and watching soaps. . .NOT!

I am mailing my FE and gifts and was wondering about lead time on the box as well. Also so nervous it won't show up! Or get stopped by the infamous "sniffing dogs" and yes, per a phone conversation with DCL, it has small totally wrapped candy in it and should be fine?!!!! Just can't think of how hard it would be to add it later. . .ugh!

laughing every time I read a talking men or homeschooling comment, those are two areas we usually remain MUTE about for lots of reasons. Can't wait to meet each of you in person!

Good morning!!!

Checking in - 4 weeks 2 days and we'll be flying to Orlando! Can't wait for the next 4 weeks to fly by.

Busy this week with my 2 West Virginia grandkids who are spending a week with us. The 4 Michigan grandkids will be here in an hour or so, then we're off to a fun day in the sun.

No call from DCL. We are in a sideways room which we have had at least 3 other times and we enjoy the seemingly extra space.

By the way, I'm a talker too! And, one of my DD's homeschools, too.

Checking in! Just one more month to go. Got the boys and girls FE gifts yesterday. Now just have to find the adults FE's.

Yesterday when we were shopping we saw a Dollar Tree Store so we went in, and they had some neat little things for FE gifts, and I had my two children with me (Who do not know they are going on a cruise in a month.) So I asked them if they were having a party would these make good little prizes. They said yes, but wanted to know why Mommy was buying them. Are we having a party, I said no. They are full of curiosity now, but I told them not to ask anymore questions, but they would be very surprised.

They questions finally stopped. Hopefully we can keep it a surprise.

You all amaze me with keeping this a suprise, if I didn't have my little ones to talk to and enjoy the excitement, I would burst!

Kileybeth-Just think of all the money you will save having your own personal photographer versus Shutters. I'm sure your DS will take some great pics.
I sure hope so, but he is an atistic kind of photographer, not real into people pics ya know?

There are still so many things to do. The pre-packing storage tub is now full of "cruise stuff" we have purchased. I'm wondering do we really need all this stuff?? but shoes ,now that's a different story and dresses of course!

oh I right there with you, I keep saying to myself, all this junk will never fit and do I really need it? and then I add another pair of sandles

I am so excited. The cruise is finally coming up really fast. I couldn't be more excited...well maybe if I knew our cabin number.
