I'm trying to figure out how to delete my post... But am having trouble. I don't want to get in trouble- I feel like I'm in grade school.

One additional tip not having to do with safety -- be sure to wear shirts/blouses with sleeves while in port. My daughter was denied access to a couple of churches on our Med cruise because her shoulders were showing.

I'm trying to figure out how to delete my post... But am having trouble. I don't want to get in trouble- I feel like I'm in grade school.

To delete if you go just under your signature there should be an edit option. and then just remove the info from the post. That's the easiest option I think - can't remember how to properly delete I'm afraid!

Hi, All:

It's early I know, but thought I'd give this a whirl. Never done a cruise meet thread before, but love chatting and helping with information, so here we go.

This will be our 11th Disney cruise for my DH and DD and me. We did the TA in 2007 and are very excited to be going back to Barcelona. All the ports are new for us except Cadiz -- but when visiting there we did an excursion to Seville, so Cadiz will be "new" in a way.

If you are interested in posting your stateroom number and guests, I'll be glad to start a list.

If you want to provide links of information for ports, transportation, etc., I'll post the links on the first page.

If anyone wants to start a separate FE thread for this cruise, I'll be glad to link it through this site.

Any suggestions for topics or information are most welcome.

I will be on this cruise with my two children....my name is Frances and I have 10 yo twins, Jude and Lorelai. We will be in stateroom 7092. My husband will be flying home as he can not be "unplugged" from work for that extended amount of time. The kids and I are so excited about this cruise! Waiting will be so hard!!

So far I have managed to:

• Book my flight to Barcelona
• Book hotel in Barcelona
• Book a hotel in New York but I've decided to change it to a different one that as yet hasn't released September rooms yet so need to change it.

I've never booked a holiday this far in advance so it all feels a little bit strange to be honest but never mind.

So far I have managed to:

• Book my flight to Barcelona
• Book hotel in Barcelona
• Book a hotel in New York but I've decided to change it to a different one that as yet hasn't released September rooms yet so need to change it.

I've never booked a holiday this far in advance so it all feels a little bit strange to be honest but never mind.

Which airline are you using? There are no economy airfares listed yet for the date I want (even through Kayak), and we cannot afford the prices we are seeing on legacy carriers. I wanted to wait and compare Norwegian to United/Star Alliance (where we have miles), especially since Norwegian's luggage weight is 10 lbs less than United's.

I will say this -- having just returned from the Bermuda cruise where no flying was needed, we more than overloaded our suitcases and it was not fun once we added souvenirs and rum cakes and liquor. So for us, I am looking forward to keeping our luggage at 40 pounds going over which will leave us the 10 pounds in each for stuff we buy when we return without overloading and having tip over luggage (which kept happening going through customs -- our luggage was front heavy LOL)! Each trip I try to learn from what not to bring or bring less of. Plus at least on the Magic we know we will have laundry rooms available. Since we are doing four nights pre-cruise, I know that we can get away with just one set of laundry once onboard.

Of course, I say all this and then will probably break all of my lessons learned when I go to pack next year

We upgraded our reservation to include the meals, all drinks, seat selection and one-piece of checked luggage each, and still saved several hundred over other airlines. So even if you had to pay for one extra piece of luggage, I think you'd still be ahead.

Big question -- what type of toiletries does DCL provide now in the way of shampoo, etc.? Do they still provide individual bottles?

We are flying Turkish airlines....we have never taken a flight with them so I hope they are ok.... they were the only airline that I found that did not charge 4x the price for a one way ticket. In fact, they had no up charge for one way.

Big question -- what type of toiletries does DCL provide now in the way of shampoo, etc.? Do they still provide individual bottles?

Regular staterooms get H2O+ shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and bar soap.
Concierge gets additional stuff.

Barcelona Airport Hotel. They have actually been so efficient even emailed to confirm which shuttle I wanted (to or from port)

We had booked the Alaska-Tour, but the cruise, the air-fare and other costs are so high, that we have decided to cancel this tour.

But then we thought about the TA, we love Barcelona and we haven’t been in New York, so we made the booking.

Are you looking on line -- or did you call? Sometimes when you call, they have more immediate inventory they can pull before it has been put on line. I (personally) could not do an inside -- I have to at least have a porthole window for natural light.

I'm just looking online. Also got a quote from Dreams Unlimited, but with the exchange rate it was around £300 more than the Disney site (I'm in the UK)

yes, I would try calling. I have done that in the past and found rooms through them that did not appear online.
