I have a 9:15am reservation at Magic Kingdom, which opens at 9am. Could I get in before 9am to beat the crowd and give enough time to get to the restaurant?

Thank you!

agree..if yr
adr was 8 or 830 u could but not at 9:15

I'll state it even more strongly: unless it's a restaurant you absolutely have to do and can't get any other time (e.g. CRT), or possibly during a summer 8am general opening, a 9:15am ADR inside the park is a bad idea. Better to either grab some QS on the way there or plan to eat after 10 when things get more crowded. 9:15 is usually prime time to get on attractions.

I was going to say this same thing! A 9:15 ADR is a waste of prime park time.

I agree with the PPs. If minimal waiting time for attractions is important to you, I'd reschedule breakfast for late morning and get to the park at rope drop.

Thanks everyone! I have reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table and Crystal Palace character breakfast. My dilemma is giving them the experience of eating at those restaurants or getting on rides. I am trying to get earlier reservations so I will see how it goes.

So is a 10:05 CRT a bad idea? It's the only time I could get and I am DYING for my girls (6 and 8) to have the experience. But we only have 1.5 days in the park since it's just a weekend trip. (I think I'm answering this for myself....because I really want them to do CRT even more than a lot of the rides.) Thoughts?

I don't think it's a bad idea. You have an hour, then CRT, and if princesses are important to you it's a thing.

It's important to recognize your own park priorities. While most people would say "cancel!" when a PPO is no longer a PPO, or not to use the first two hours to eat, for others the dining is still a huge part of the experience or there may be something else that makes it important. And that's okay.

(Exhibit A: I kept my not-PPO-any-more 8:25 breakfast for my upcoming trip, because I try to feed the kids early then wait until 10:30 to eat, the trip will start BADLY. And there are sentimental reasons I feel a trip to Disney must start with breakfast at Crystal Palace that overrule any "short lines!" feelings. That said, I find BOG breakfast to be a poor value even on DDP, have limited options, and only be worthwhile as PPO.)

For a 10:05 ADR, you'll need to be checking in around 9:45 - 9:50, so while that's not a ton of time, you'll have time for a few of your most important rides. It sounds like CRT is really important to you, so I would say keep it.

Another option is looking for a later reservation. Not sure how late either of those serve breakfast, but try looking for the latest time you can. Grab something quick in the room to get you all going in the morning. Hit the park at rope drop--which seems like you were planning anyway. You can take advantage of the first hour or two of prime time with no lines. Then it will be time for a break and "brunch". We do this sometimes and consider that meal our lunch for the day. A snack mid-afternoon and we're good until dinner time.

If CRT or CP is important, I would keep the ADR> But given a choice, I would shoot for lunch or dinner. We have always found that for my family, a quick breakfast and then park time, with lunch scheduled works well. WE need to eat anyway and we like to know that we will not have that trying "where do you want to eat?"

If you can find later ADR's you might find that plan is more manageable.
