9/15/06 MNSSHP Meet!!

Who is up for a mini meet at MNSSHP on 9/15? Our family will be attending our very first party there & hope to meet up with others DISers! I've PMed those who are on the list from the Theme Parks board, but feel free to post here if you are interested! We'll be in doctor's scrub costumes, someone here on the DIS made the logos up for us.

I don't know when & where we'll meet but would like to ask those who want to participate to help decide. So far I've heard from:

Someone mentioned in a PM that there might already be a meet in place to catch up by Casey's so I hope I'm not stepping on any toes. I do think my family will be there for the entire night but wouldn't mind meeting up earlier in the evening for a few mins for those with younger kids.

Can't wait for the 15th get here!

Is this the same group that is looking at meeting at the end of Main Street by Caseys' between the two parades? I know there is one going on there as well.

For sure there is another meet then? I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes at all. Some people whose names where on the MNSSHP thread on the attractions board responded to some PMs I sent & said that they didn't know if their kids would last until that point in time. I was thinking of trying to meet up earlier, maybe right after the 1st parade or something like that, but no definite time or place set.

If everyone would rather meet up before the 2nd parade then I'll be happy delete this thread and see if we can meet up with the others.

Oh, heavens! I would never think you would step on anyone's toes. I say the more meets the better (more to select from due to schedules and such)!

you are not stepping on my toes at all...an earlier meet for ones with wee ones is a good idea. i know that i am not sure if my wee ones will last that long...i might be sending hubby back to hotel so i can stay for my meet. i will try to make your meet if i am not involved with the kiddo's BTW: i started the thread on meeting by casey's before the second parade. sport those lime green mickey head.

Well I just figured out what to wear to MNSSHP (duh!) -- I am going as a Texas Diser! I have a Dis Board t-shirt (lime green, of course) and sporting little Mickey heads. I should be easy to spot!

Given that my 7 year old was STILL up at 11 last night (on a SCHOOL night!! ) despite the fact that I kept sending him back to bed ... I am starting to doubt that the second meet will be a problem for me. I will try to make whatever meets or scheduled that night based on our 'schedule' (which isn't very set in stone - MNSSHP that night will be the kids VERY FIRST MK experience ever - so I am going to sort of follow their lead for the most part, and if I can get DIS meets in there, I am going to). I do know that my sister (SleepingBeautyDreamr) has said that we will split up for her to go to at least the second meet if I can't get there, either because the kids are worn out or if there is something they are really interested in doing at that very moment.

Disneyaggie - great costume idea!! I'll stop you and say hi if I see you walking the park that night.

I wouldn't mind meeting up, but I talked to DH about it and we'll probably only meet for a few minutes or so...it's our last night at WDW and we'll be wanting to go off and explore.

Based on the posts here, I think we'll just meet up with the group before the 2nd parade. We really won't have a lot of time that evening either, we are arriving that day & going home Sunday, but did want to say "hey" to some DISers if we can.

Sounds like the other meet was prior to the 2nd parade and meeting in front of Casey's, so we'll look for the lime green over there!

Sounds good! We'll plan to meet at Casey's before the second parade. I was a little worried about the kids staying up late enough to make it, but given the last few nights, I don't think it will be a problem.

sorry i have been gone so long. so busy with school and all and packing for my move...... i will still be outside of casey's before the second parade. i am dressing as a wicked fairy with the black and purple color combo. my son is suppose to be squirt but i am having problems getting the costume from disney so he might end up being something else. i will definatly be sporting my mickey heads though. see you all there.
