forgetting the past is always the best way to deal with it...

Oh please.![]()
Yeah, actually some of us who lost loved ones on this terrible day would like to forget the day. FTR, I am over it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt when it's brought up.
/vent.
Amen.and i'm sure those who died would want the day to go un-discussed and forgotten.![]()
if people want to talk about it, you really can't say, "oh no not this topic again!" or tell people not to bring it up. its not your decision.
if you don't wish to take part in the discussion, there's a very simple resort. don't take part in the discussion. but you don't get to tell people what can and can't be discussed and what should and shouldn't be brought up.

i'm sorry if there's already a thread like this or something but i was wondering as the anniversary comes upon us again do you guys remember what you were doing when you found out what had happened?? i live in NY so it was crazy here but i remember sitting in class and a teacher came in and said to my techer something happened to the twin towers and everyone was so scared that day and everythin was hectic and everyone was scared. so what were you doing that day??
I was in 6th grade in gym class during the actual time it was happening.. Then when we got back in the classroom it was all over the news and I was like confused because I didn't understand what happened.
horrible day in history. and I think it should be a holiday.
It's called Patriot's Day now. I don't think it needs to be a day like MLK day or President's day though. We don't have a special holiday for Pearl Harbor.
