This waiting each week is getting to me.. I do admit it is a bit decadent, but I am addicted. The whole premise is intriguing, vampires now have synthetic blood to drink so they are now part of present day society or fighting for those rights.. so interesting.

Yes! I love this show! In an hour there will be a marathon on HBO2W (I think) with all the episodes already shown and then there is the new episode tonight too. I am kicking myself for not recording this show already so I will get caught up now. I read it already got picked up for season 2.:cheer2:

So nice to have something else on HBO to enjoy besides Real Time.

I am so excited for tonight's episode! I need to make myself go run before hand, but all I want to do is go buy snacks to munch on during the show! :lmao:

We love it here. Me, DH, my Mom, and Stepdad all watch it together. Tonight was episode 4. Poor Poor Jason. Have you read the books that the series is based on. I'm reading the 4th in the series right now and they are really good.

I started watching it on on-demand and I am now addicted! I love it! I have my DVR set to watch it later and I can't wait.

We all love it here too. I watched it 2.5 times in 4 hours tonight. What a good show.

Be careful or you might be "glamoured" by a Vamp!

I like it too. I can't believe how fast the hour goes. It surprises me everytime it ends. I haven't read the books yet but they're on my list. The only thing that I don't like is that I have to hide in the media room to watch it. I would die if my DD14 every walked in and saw some of the scenes. I've given her strict instructions not to come down stairs when I'm watching it.:rotfl:

I'm not normally the type of person who gets into the whole Vampire thing. But this show has really caught my attention. I admit, I never would have watched it if it wasn't for my husband watching. But it was just interesting enough to get my attention, so I've been watching every week!

I really thought I would like this show. I've always loved Vampire shows (remember Dark Shadows?). BUT - I watched the first episode and HATED it. :confused3 I hated it so much that I have not watched any of the others. DH didn't like the first one very much, but he kept watching. He really likes it now and tried to get me to watch again, but I really didn't like it at all. :guilty:

I am HOOKED on True Blood! I DVR'd Desperate Housewives (so I can ff through the commercials) and got my Sookie fix. I have even started reading the books I'm on the second series.

What are the titles of the books? Maybe I'd like them more than the show. I'd rather read than watch TV any day. :goodvibes

The books are by Charlaine Harris and from what I can tell so far they involve Sookie Stackhouse. I'm on the second one, and I'm loving it!

Dead Until Dark
Living Dead In Dallas
Club Dead
Dead to the World
Dead as a Doornail
Definitely Dead
All Together Dead

I've been reading the books for years and highly recommend them. They are a lot of fun. I was very excited when I found out HBO was making a series based on the books. I do wish they'd focus less on Jason who is really one of my least favorite characters in the books but I'm really enjoying the series so far.

::yes:: ...and less on Tara, too.

Amy, did you not LOVE  Eric last night? I think the actor filled the bill very well. He moved like I thought Eric would. I also liked Pam's casting. She's also what I pictured Pam to be.

There are also some good short stories in other books about Sookie. The one I read was in Many Bloody Returns. It was about Halloween at Fangtasia. Eric is hoping that Count Dracula will show up. Very entertaining and it's referred to in one of the later books.

I love this show. What up with Sam writhing around on Dawn's bed sniffing the
bedding? He barks in his sleep and that dog always seems to be lurking. The
plot thickens!

:lmao: I conked out about 8:00 last night--I spent the weekend painting a bathroom and by the time I was done, I was out like a light. I was going to catch it on DirectTV this morning but it wasn't listed yet. Hopefully, it will be on there tonight because I am dying to see Eric. I  him. It gives me hope that you liked the actor in the role and I can't wait to see Pam. She's another of my favorites.

I haven't read the short stories--I'm going to have to check for that one at the library. Thanks for letting us know!
