I’ve officially succumbed to the walkers. No availability now until 6 days ahead which is pretty crazy. If only they would find a way to stop it.

I recently was able to grab a full week in a value studio for late April by checking at random times throughout the day. I found a few days available, the next day a couple more, then a couple more days a day or two later. Looked like after the walkers came through. That seems to be easier than grabbing at 8:00 AM right now anyway

I just recently booked a full week of concierge but did it day by day as the previous day showed up usually anywhere from 9:15-11:30 and some even later. Yes I know stalking like this is a huge pain but it definitely works if you want to try it. I saw multiple value rooms pop up that stayed available for quite a while. You would only have to refresh every half hour or so (I know it's a lot).

I do the same - grab nights as walkers walk over the dates I want. I've done this for AKV Value, AKV Club, and BWV Standard. As you note, it's a pain but it works for less popular nights.

However, this approach doesn't work for popular times of the year, early December in particular, which now seems to be the most in-demand time of year.

However, this approach doesn't work for popular times of the year, early December in particular, which now seems to be the most in-demand time of year.

Yeah but I did it for Spring break week leading up to Easter so I was shocked I got every day in a club level! Did not take Easter as we wanted to be home for it but that week preceding it is Spring Break...here in
NY anyway.

For April, I successfully grabbed a BWV Standard room for before our cruise, and AKV Club for after our cruise by simply waiting for walkers to walk over the dates I wanted.

None of these were available at exactly 11 months, but they popped up at about 10 months and 25-to-29 days.

It really is a huge PITA to book like that and it really is unfair to those that don't have the time/energy/internet prowess to keep checking many many times a day but hey...it works and I'm pleased with what I got!

When I payed a slight premium for AKV points over cheaper SAP it was with the idea that I could get Value and Club level rooms once in a while. Staying Value in October and Club in April I feel like has really justified the strategy of purchasing AKV. I consider it what that thread called these kinds of contracts...SAP+.

Same! I'd rather be "stuck" at AKV than say SSR, and I have a chance to book those valuable rooms!
