I'm trying to get 8am breakfast reservations at MK for my trip in September, but I don't know if that's even possible. ADRs on my dates of travel aren't open yet, but I keep checking MDE at 7am each morning to see what the availability looks like on the new day's ADRs that have been released, and it always seems the earliest available is 8:30am, if that. I want to do CP or BOG, but I'm not sure what happens to those early reservations. Even at exactly 7am, I don't see anything earlier than 8:30. Any ideas? TIA!

Funny that you mention it. I just booked a breakfast res at BOG the last week of July and the earliest time available was 8:30 am. I just assumed that the 8 am times were snagged already.

The earlier times have already been snagged by those folks staying onsite and utilizing the 180+ length of stay advantage.

An 8:30 will get you in the door at 8, though.

When your window opens take the earliest one you can get and then put a request in for 8am on Touring Plans reservation finder. This has worked for me 100% of the time. Good luck.

I used the Touring Plans reservation finder to score a 7:55 ADR at the Plaza at the end of June.

Just helped friends get CRT at 8:05am for late August. This was at 6am on 180 day mark for 180+1. Agree with above to grab earliest available, and try to move it after with modifying and using TP.

If your ADR is 8:30 there is no need to change it. Just get in as if your ADR was 8:05. You are seated in the order of Check in not in the order of ADR for those PPO meals.

At my 180 days out for my August '19 trip there was a BOG opening for 9:00. I took it then immediately hit modify and an 8:05 seating popped up - so I took that. This was on their website.

Ahh I thought ADRs opened at 7am ET. If they open at 6am ET, that might explain why I'm not seeing earlier times! Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

We will also be there in August with an 8:00 reservation. When are you going?

I'm not sure how it is at each restaurant, but when we ate at the Plaza in January, a group checked in for their ADR just after us and they were told that they're not allowed to check in more than 15 minutes early and they were told to wait to the side until they got to that time.

We had a PPO 8:45 a.m. adr for BOG in September. Arrived at the park early. It was our only day at any park (just there to book a free dining bounceback...but that’s another story). Gave our names to the lovely cast member at the far left PPO reservation line, all is well til we try and go thru the turnstiles. DH’s band is green and happy, my band not so much...directed to guest services which had a nice little line of similarly disappointed folks...needless to say we got in after something was corrected (to this day I have no idea what)...speedwalked back to the check in at BOG and walked in for breakfast by 8:20 AM. All PPO reservations can get into the park at the same time. And once at the desk outside the bridge to BOG, folks are checked in as they arrive...no matter if your ADR is 8:00 a.m. or 8:50 a.m. Preorder. Find a seat. Enjoy. Go ride SDMT before everyone else gets there! Worked really well for us, despite the nifty misstep to guest services!

How long should breakfast take if food is pre-ordered and we get to the park for the 7:45 park entry?

We’ve never tried this approach, thanks DISers, but saving a FP to get on the SDMT early is a bonus!

Breakfast was very quick for us. Of course it was just DH and me. We got our pastry platter right off the bat and the one breakfast we ordered to share arrived right after we got our own drinks from the drink station. It was hot and really good! We shared the “feast a la Gaston”, ate maybe one of the pastries and zip lock bagged the rest for later. We used the rest room, took a couple inside the retaurant pics and headed out about 8:50 or so. We walked toward SDMT and the cast member said to head right on via the FP entrance. We did, along with other BOG folks, rode the ride, got off and went right back in and rode again. No wait. Could have gone again, but that was enough! The rope drop folks approached shortly thereafter. We headed to Frontierland after a spin on halucipooh. It worked out great!
