I like free dining. Food is Good! Free is Better!

If I can enjoy wdw at Christmas time, then a busy Aug can't be that bad.

So I was really busy at work today . Yep, busy re-doing my plan. With free dining and the expected increase in crowds I am re-arranging some things, unfortunately it means less Focker time, but after all this is Kelly’s trip and I have to put that first. We will be there for Wienerfest (just you try and keep me away), but I will be backing out from TL day and CP breakfast with Janet and CE.


Sorry guys, I would love to spend more time with the Fockers, but I need to make the plan fit for Kelly ( and honestly I may have been losing sight of that).


I am going to PM DM, with my changes. I called Disney Dining today and actually got all my first choices with the changes I am making. I figure get them while the getting is good.


BTW, I don't know if I ever told you guys about this reward program we have at work. People nominate you when you have helped out, done a great job, etc. These rewards are then exchanged for $50 gift cards, there are hundreds to choose from, including Disney cards. I always exchange them for Disney ones to use on vacay. Well I got 2 more rewards when I got in today, that's another $100 for August!

I was reading on the budget or CB about people sending in their scrap gold to goldbuyers.com and getting some decent cheddar. I sent mine in today - curious what it'll bring. Andy says I'd hock my wedding ring for DVC. If he didn't mind, I probably would!


That said, I just got off the phone with Dining and was surprisingly able to make a few changes. I thought for sure things would be completely full as I've read on some of the dining boards.

Akershaus, Spoodles, Biergarten, Tusker House breakfast, Jiko, CP, Mama's, LeCell & 1900 PF. The only new ones are Akershaus, Biergarten, Tusker House, & Jiko. We've done the others. I think I need to change some around and add something new. Thing is nothing really appeals, KWIM? I did think of changing Mama's to The Brown Derby.

COmpletely understand MO, I will call back and remove 2 from the CP ressie. I think I am going to wait to hear from CE before making any definite changes though.

Our dates are the 19th -29th. Our ADR's are 1900 Park Fare, Sci-Fi, DOnald's Safari Breakfast, Biergarten (of course ), Crystal Palace, Raglan Road, LTT, O'Hana, Plaza Restaurant, and Kona.

I know I've expressed this before, but I'm so over the WDW dining hype. Don't ge me wrong, we had a few nice meals last trip. But I'm frankly sick of worrying about it 6 months in advance and then stressing voer getting to those ADRs because it took so much effort to get them. More and more I'm turning to CS.

I did think of changing Mama's to The Brown Derby.

I know I've expressed this before, but I'm so over the WDW dining hype. Don't ge me wrong, we had a few nice meals last trip. But I'm frankly sick of worrying about it 6 months in advance and then stressing voer getting to those ADRs because it took so much effort to get them. More and more I'm turning to CS.

Normally we only do 2 or 3 TS melas during a complete 2 weeks stay. THis year we are doing one everyday mostly becasue of ANdrew coming with us. THis will be the only time he ever goes to DIsney, until he acan pay for it himself, so I want to give him the whole experience, kwim? I'm with you on the whole CS thing V

It sounds fancy, but it it really normal food just made up real gud. DH had lasagna; he said it was gud and he's a lasagna expert. I had the veal ravioli and it was sooooo good. I had to fight off DH with my fork. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of hot Italian waiters.

I'm thinking of ditching FD and changing our dates to 8/16-8/24. Our AP's expire 8/18, so we could do WDW for 3 days then do Universal/Sea World for 4 days with a rest day in between. We still wouldn't be able to attend weinerfest, but we could meet up with folks outside the parks.

I remember reading your review in one of those unfinished trippies of yours I added it today for Kelly and me. I love me some lasagna.

BTW, if you have Trader Joe's near you, they have this new lasagna that is delicious, they say it serves 2, but I considered it one serving
