OK DVC Qurestion for all you DVC Memebers. Say we buy into DVC and purchase a certain number of points? Can say, four years from now buy additional points?

Yes!!! (see above post! :goodvibes )

We've been adding on here and there since we bought back in 1998. I'm almost where I want to be with our BWV points...

Thanks Michelle!:thumbsup2 I am still trying to talk Jim into it so I am trying to gather as much info as possible

You could always start with a small re-sale and add on over time. That way, you get your foot into the DVC door, and you get the DVC perks (such as they are - the $100 off AP's is one of the best perks... plus the dining discounts...) Tell him that you can get 25% off room rates with the member cash discount, too, if you don't have enough points for a full vacation.

The best thing is, you could always sell your DVC contract if you ever needed to. :scared1: Not that I would EVER do that, but you could, if you had to. If I sold all of our BWV points today, I would actually come out even... that means, I would get back my purchase price and then some (that extra would almost completely cover the yearly maintenance fees) All of the trips we've taken over the past 10 years would have been free for the room cost...

Yes, it's a huge investment, but it's worked out for us. :goodvibes

Tell him about the flat screen TV in the M. bathroom in the AKV GV's!!!! ::yes::

I know I could go back and reread this whole thing to find what I'm looking for, but I thought it easier to ask...

P&PP ~ What are the assumed dates for August?

Thanks:goodvibes

Yep, sounds like us. I'm borrowing into 2009 to do everything this year, but, we figure that we're going to buy Contemporary when it goes on sale, so we'd have those points in (hopefully) '09. Last night DH told me to call our guide to see about an add-on at BWV, while we're waiting for Contemporary DVC... I have to tell you, I almost fell off my chair...

I am impatiently waiting for the Cont DVC. :hyper:

I hear you on the AP renewal prices, too. We have 5 to buy this year.

And all of your kids are "adults" right?

Tell him about the flat screen TV in the M. bathroom in the AKV GV's!!!! ::yes::

Unfortunatley this would not impress him, he does not watch TV except for football or the History Channel:sad2: Jimmy on the other hand would love it...he could watch Power Rangers:lmao:

I have no idea what this means.

Cabbage = Cash :thumbsup2

Check out ***************** (Unofficial Guide Website) they have the projected dates on their crowd calculator page!

Hey T! I just saw this in the Mousesavers email ... The one in the Contemporary may be an option too ...

New Restaurants Coming to Walt Disney World in 2008

Landry's Restaurants, which just introduced a taste of Asia to Disney's Animal Kingdom with the opening of Yak & Yeti Restaurant, will treat Downtown Disney guests to a face-to-face encounter with a dinosaur at T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure, A Place to Eat, Shop, Explore and Discover, which combines table-service dining and retail in an interactive prehistoric environment built around water, fire and ice. The restaurant is expected to open in fall 2008.

At Epcot, China's Nine Dragons table-service restaurant will close in early 2008 to make way for an innovative dining room, scheduled to open in the fall, featuring five cooking stations where guests can interact with chefs from China.

At Disney's Contemporary Resort, The Wave, opening in the spring, will serve up American cooking blended with world flavors.

In the Italy pavilion at Epcot, Tutto Italia Ristorante ("Everything Italy") is the newest restaurant for California-based Patina Group, which has a portfolio of nearly 30 restaurants. The location will be expanded for a grand opening late in 2008.

P&PP ~ What are the assumed dates for August?

Thanks:goodvibes

I went to the Unofficial Guide Website. Their estimated dates for P & P in August are the 9th, 13th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, and 29th. I know that Mo, T, and I all have it planned for the 26th if they have it.

If they are different dates we are going to be doing some major plan changes:scared1:

Thank you, Janet.:) We've got some changes going on (you're shocked, I know) and I'm trying to work around some stuff.

But... but... but... we can only go on the 22nd! That's OK... I understand... :sad1:

The 22nd is the TL meet! Are you coming to that? We are going to Epcot that evening, otherwise I only have one Epcot day planned.

Nope. We're going to skip TL. (Trust me, you don't wanna see me in a bathing suit - I'm doing you all a favor! ;) ) I'm not sure what we'll be doing during the day, but we are going to P&PP that night. We've never been to one, and it's a must-do for us.

I already told everyone to warn their kids that what they are seeing is no a beached whale:scared1: You are only going to be there for a long weekend, right? No way you can move P & P to the 26th?:sad1:

You know, those GV's would make a great location for a DISer gathering. And according to the picture of the BWV GV in that big 'ol purple DVC book, they do want folks to have parties in the GV's. ;)

OMG, can you imagine:lmao:

Ok, so WCC...honestly it's never really appealed to me. I don't know, I just have no desire for the whole Hill Billy experience. No offense to Hilly Billies, of course. :lmao: Just the whootin' and hollerin' - OMG, I could just see Waldo cringe at the sight! :rotfl2: But I do agree that Maddie and Evan would like it, heck Andy probably would too.

I tried this once years ago, pre internet and had no idea what I was walking into.:scared1:

Now if Waldo is making an ADR for August, you could sell tix T and stay at the Poly in the King whatshisname suite:lmao:

:faint: OMG...I need to sit down...I forgot also - there's more of you guys than us. Ok, Tony...if you're ever reading this...yet another reason NOT to have another child...we couldn't afford the AP's!!!:rotfl:
:lmao:

But not on Tuesday's - It's Bingo Night:upsidedow [/QUOTE

:
Well there ya have it, T...no AP on Bingo night!:lmao:

Let me tell you, them blue haired ladies can be down right scary on bingo night:eek:

:I thought that the PAP included WP admission etc., but man, seeing S'late's price, I'd hope it includes a hot oil massage by an even hotter cabana boy!!:rolleyes1

Heck for that pricde cabana boy better be coming home to Jersey with me!

OK NO LAMINATING UNTIL AFTER P&PP DATES ARE RELEASED!

ARE YOU READING THIS T!

OMG, I have made more changes that I haven't even posted, I think I am on version 8 or 9 of THE PLAN.

I already told everyone to warn their kids that what they are seeing is no a beached whale:scared1

OK, can we pinky swear to no pics above the neck and no harpoons?

OMGosh, I got a postcard from WDW today saying I can save 30%. Whoopee. I can't wait to call to see how much I save over my current reservation. I hope AAA accepts this promo.

:cheer2:
