I have a question about the park tickets discount that is going on right now. We are planning on going to US/IoA for our honeymoon in Jan 2008. Could I buy these tickets with this deal right now and use them next Jan? Or is there a certain date range that these have to be used?
Thanks!

Did you find the answer or do you still need it and are being sarcastic? There really is no need to be sarcastic because nobody has answered your post in an hour and a half. The Universal boards move quite slowly, so don't get frustrated if you don't get your answer immediately. I see no expiry listed on the universal orlando website. Maybe someone else can offer some suggestions or do you really, really need this information immediately?

OK, first of all - it has not been an hour and a half. It says AM not PM. Also, I know that this board doesn't get as much track as the others, but 33 people had viewed my post and had not answered. Second of all, I was not being sarcastic. I don't think you know me well enough to say whether I am being sarcastic or not, and you can't tell a person's tone of voice while reading a post online.
THANK YOU

Still sounds sarcastic to me. Why thank for the help if you got none? To thank for something you didn't get is sarcastic. Whatever. In the future, just say something like, "Anyone know the answer, I can't find it anywhere?" You came off as being sarcastic and also sarcastic on the other board where you posted that you couldn't get any help over here. We answer TONS of questions here just like yours over and over and over again. They don't always get answered right away but usually they do. Sometimes, the OP will give the post a FRIENDLY bump. We try to be friendly and helpful here. Read through our responses where we answer the same questions repeatedly where the poster could just have gone to the Universal website or looked a few posts down for their answer.

This is my view at least but I do want to comment. Just because the topic had 33 views does not mean any of those 33 people knew the answer to your question. In the future I would give a new topic a few days to get an answer (at least here in the Universal section) and don't even bother to look at the number of views since you have no idea how much knowledge those people have. If you don't have an answer in 2 to 3 days feel free to bump it to the top.

On to your original question. In most cases the expiration date on most tickets for both Disney and Universal is a number of days after first use. In this case its good for 7 days once you have started using the ticket. These tickets while being a good deal do not have to be used by any special date you should be fine if you want to purchase them now for use next January.

The only tickets that need to be used within a set period of time that come to mind are the special event tickets (HHN), express pass tickets, free tickets, and the get a 2 year annual pass for the price of a single year. I am sure there are others but those are the only ones that come to mind.

Well, I viewed the post, but I dont knowthe answer to the question. If you wait a few days probably phamton will see it and tell you the answer. :goodvibes

ETA- the information I have gotten on this board is priceless, even though I just read other people posts for quite a while before posting myself. Your trip is a year away, you dont have to pre-plan for a year for a universal trip usually.

I debated about even answering. Most of us post here because we like helping. It does get frustrating though when we are berated for not answering quickly enough.

The short answer is: as far as I know, there is no expiration on those tickets.

ETA: I feel so used. :( I just did a search on all your posts and every single one of them was a question. It would be nice if you spent some time answering other people's questions also. Maybe you can't answer about Universal but possibly you could spend some time answering Disney questions for newbies.

Most people are so grateful for help that it really feels good to help out. We we first started going to Universal, we got so much help here that is felt really good to help others the same way. Posters need to remember that we all post replies here because we love Universal and want to share it with others. When a poster starts a thread on another board that they got no help over here after not getting a response to their post in less than a day, it really makes you thankful that most posters are so nice. Otherwise, we'd all just stop bothering.

damo - you don't know that I didn't get help from anyone. you don't know what's in my pm box. maybe I was actually thanking someone. but who cares, right? you won't believe anything I say, just make your own judgements on someone you don't know.

phamton - I am a newbie, so I don't know many answers to people's questions. But, yes, I have responded to many people's posts.

Oh oops, that wasnt an apology....I just assumed...

I know you didn't get help from anyone on this board because over on the theme park boards you started a thread that stated you got no help from the Universal boards. I didn't assume anything.

Your direct quote, "Sorry to post this on a Disney thread, but I received no help from the Universal forum."

If you were thanking someone here on the Universal board why didn't you just say that when I asked if you were still looking for the question or being sarcastic. I specifically asked that to give you the benefit of the doubt. Why didn't you just respond to my post with, "Yes, I did get my answer." instead of arguing?

This is my last post on this thread. I would love to help you plan your Universal vacation. Sorry we got off on the wrong foot.

I would love to help you plan your Universal vacation.
You're more generous than me. After her PM to me, I won't be helping. I enjoy helping people who appreciate my help. Yelling sarcastic "THANK YOU!"s is not the type of response I expect. I'll stick with responding to people who appreciate the time and effort it requires to find an answer.

Ok, ok, break it up..... :) Let's get back to being helpful to one another...

Amy, in the future, it may be more appropriate to "bump" your post rather than take the "ok, thanks for helping" tone. Remember you catch more flies with honey :)
