Is there a bunk bed in this room? 8188 on the Fantasy.

I have booked it for my HOTHS cruise for myself and my 2 kids but I MIGHT need to add 1 extra passenger (not 100% sure) - but Disney has said that I will need to change category to fit the extra person..I'm guessing there is no bunk bed in the room so? Is it really that small? What kind of beds are in the room..A double bed and a single?? :worried:

According to a room report I read the room does sleep 4. The lifeboat for that room must be full, that's why they won't let you add the 4th person.

As others have said, the muster station could be full for that location. The room is not smaller than other choices in the same category in terms of inside square footage. The only odd thing about it is that the bed is perpendicular to the ships travel motion, so you are rocked to sleep head to feet instead of side to side. No big deal for most people I am sure. It wasn't for us. The square footage of the balcony is really where the room shines. We had family from another stateroom come over all the time and we would enjoy the large balcony space together, plenty of room for 6+ people out there.

This is our dream cabin and we have it booked for 4 of us on Fantasy in Nov. 2017. Definitely can hold 4.

Yes, the muster station is the usual culprit when this comes up. The room may have the extra space and bed, but if the surrounding staterooms have maxed out the number of people for that lifeboat station, the only option is to move to another station (which sometimes means a new stateroom in a new category).

And the only good thing about that is, the price for the new room will be whatever it was on the day they made the original booking (for the people who were on the original booking). The additional person being added pays whatever the price is for that person on the day they are added.
