A bobbie soxer from the 50's with poodle skirt, saddle shoes and an organza ribbon tied around her pony tail? Oh wait, that's what I going to be for our second grade class party. Still, I think that's a cute costume for that age.
Saffron, she did the Bobbie Soxer thing two years ago....and you're right, it's an adorable costume for that age!
Michelle, she WAS going to be a Hippie girl, until about 3 days ago. Don't know what changed her mind, but I'm still trying to convince her to stick with it. She WAS all excited about crimping her hair! Maybe if we just go look for some of the clothes and accessories to wear, she'll change her mind back to this idea.
I am with you and will be following this. DD#2 (7) wanted to be Lilo until I said the official outfit was too much $$, since we have a hula skirt outfit from DD#1's recital two years ago. Then it was using her recital outfit to be Brittney Spears and I'm fighting that. We have another recital costume that would make a great Raggedy Ann, but she has nothing to do with that! One other option is Hermoine from Harry Potter, but that $30 costume is just a cheap black robe with a Gryffindor "G" patch on it and a wand!
