Do any of the rental car companies rent the 8 passenger mini vans? I believe they are Toyota Siena's. National use to have a separate category for the 8 passenger mini vans but don't any more. I wasn't sure if any of the other rental car companies have them.

Also has anyone seen a toyota mini van at National? I wasn't sure if they only have Chrysler vans or not.

Any other suggestions on an 8 passenger car?

National, Enterprise and Alamo rent Siennas. Siennas are still listed under the vehicles for National. They just might not be available for your time period.
In addition to Chysler and Dodge, they also carry Kia mini vans.
Try Alamo, same company, for a Sienna if it is not available at National.

Carl's van rental has multi passenger vans. Did you consider two car cost? Not that we did, but 8 passenger is a challange. Carl is good, he picks you up at the airport so no usage fees, but he is not less expensive, just better selection for multi passengers. We had a 15 passenger once from Alamo for not much more then the original rental cost. It was $5 more a day.

I just went through stress trying to rent an 8 passenger vehicle for my Feb trip :sad2: I want to tell you, you need to call directly, rather than the internet booking. I found one place that had Siennas, but when I called the local place, they said their particular ones they had were configured to seat 7!

I ended up booking a Suburban from Hertz, who swears it is configured to seat 8-I called the local pickup place and asked them too! And my mom called also LOL, just to make sure we all got the same info ;)

I probably called 15 places to find what I needed, but I could not get it done on the interenet.

the Siennas at National and Alamo are configured to hold 8 pax. Hence the reason we rent them as such. The 8th seat is a "jump" seat which all of them have.

The Alamo at Bradley International (BDL) told me 7-I'd be interested if indeed they hold 8. Is there a location or # I should call to inquire?

If you go to the Alamo web site and click on the cars tab, it will list the vehicles that Alamo has. Our 7 pax vans are: Dodge Caravans, Chysler Town and Country, and Kia Sadonas. Our 8 pax vans are Toyota Siennas.
The 8th seat can be removed and stowed in the cargo area in the back of the van. It might be that Bradley does not stock the 8pax van. Inventory can vary from location to location.

The number for Alamo national is on the web page also.

For whatever it's worth, I was able to rent an 8 passenger Toyota from my local dealer; I would think this also applies to other dealers.

Believe it or not, I called two-one down the road and one in another town. they both only had the 7 seaters! I was like, does no one stock the 8 seater? Like I mentioned above, I had to call over a dozen places, it was time consuming.
