Do you think that the POFQ is fun enough to warrant a full day outside of the parks dedicated to the pool/other recreational things? I added yet another day onto our trip (6-14) and wonder if this is too long :thumbsup2 Thanks!!!!

POFQ is our favorite resort, very laid back, plenty to do. The day we got back from the beach club last december I booked 10 days at POFQ for october. 7 days was just not enough last time. You will love it!

It looks like you have young kids. They will love the pool at POFQ.

Be sure to check out POR. They have more activites. You won't have trouble finding enough to do. My son loves the surry bikes and always wants to rent a boat to go up and down the Sassagoula. We've just never made time for that.

Honestly, I would be bored spending an entire day just on POFQ property. But if you plan to swim and go off-property for other things - POR for walking or bike/boat rentals, boat to DTD, mini-golf, whatever - then it will be a great relaxing day, I'm sure!

Not at all. You could relax by the pool. You can take a nice walk over to POR. There are many activities between the two resorts. Plus, since they are sister resorts, you are able to use both pools. We love POFQ! A matter of fact, we will be staying there for 10 nights in Jan 2009.

I guess that depends on when you are doing it. If at the end, then it would give you a chance to do some laundry while the kids swim. There's bikes and boats over at POR as well. I could see sleeping late, on the last day, doing some laundry. Going for a walk over to POR, maybe even a carriage ride in the evening for all 4 of you while Illuminations is going off.

So, yes you could have a great relaxing day at PO.

If you do get bored, Downtown Disney is just a boat ride away.

My kids always say. Swimming in the pool is the best part of our vacation. The swimming pool there is the best.

Here is our plan for a relaxing day of rest at POFQ....

SLEEP IN! leisurely brekkie at Boatwright's, followed by a tour of playgrounds and then a peaceful time of TV and a light lunch at Sassagoula and swimming at the pool!

I am bound and determined to prove that it is possible to have a relaxing vacation at WDW! :)

I don't think you would get board--POFQ is a wonderful place to spend a
leasurely day. We will be at POFQ on the exact dates that you guy are:
9/6 thru 9/14th. Maybe will run into you!!
This will be our 2nd 9 day 8 night stay at WDW and I think that
this length is perfect. We were stayinig at POR last year for FD.
We spent a day at POFQ-swimming, at breakfast at the CS
and it was a very enjoyable day.
We decided to spend this trip at POFQ we enjoyed ourselves so much
and I have a DS who is 12 year old (he enjoyed the pool at FQ because it wasn't
as crowded as Riverside main pool, plus when we were there the chemicals in the pool at
Riverside were super strong and really bothered our skin. This wasn't the case at the FQ the
water was perfectly balanced with no skin problems).
