I am seriously considering the Adventures by Disney add-on for our Alaska cruise. It will of course depend on the exact itinerary and the price, but I've heard nothing but positive things about the ABD add-ons for the Med and Alaska cruises. Anyone else considering it?

not too sure how good ABD would be on this cruise since it is so short in ports, but would be interesting in knowing if it would be good

this will open a new page. On the left side you will see a list of options
click edit signature

What's FE?

What's FE?

FE stands for Fish Extender. I have never actually done one, but the gist is that it is an exchange of small gifts among the folks participating in the FE exchange. The fish part is a refernece to the small fish sculptures that are next to the stateroom doors (at least on the Magic). The extender refers to a container that hangs from the fish in which small items can be placed (everyone makes or buys their own, and I have seen some really neat ones). Then the idea is that on different days during the cruise, each stateroom delivers small gifts to each other stateroom participating in the FE exchange. Sometimes folks decide to do extra gifts for the kids in each stateroom. I didn't know anything about it on our first cruise, and our second one was a Med cruise in June, and I was reluctant to commit to bringing anything extra in our luggage since we were already up against bag and weight limits planning to be gone for 19 days. But our friends traveling with us on that cruise did participate, and some of the gifts were so neat and creative that I am possibly motivated to participate in an FE exchange on our Alaska cruise.

On my second cruise We had a FE, some items we received were, Disney pencils, a home made cd, magnets, candy, Pens, mini first aid kit.


It is amazing what may show up, Was lots of fun, coming back to our cabin never knowing what might show up

We did this on our second cruise and had a lot of fun. I am game for doing this on the Alaska cruise if others want to participate.
