Hi all - coming out of lurking mode. I just booked my first trip for April 2010 for DD5 and I, made my ADR's online, and got everything I wanted! :cheer2: I can't wait!!

One newbie question though - I'm planning to do dinner @ Ohana one night and then watch Wishes from the beach at Poly. The only available time for dinner on the night I wanted was 8:30 so I reserved it. Will this be enough time to eat and get to beach for the fireworks? Do the reservation times tend to run late as the night goes on, and how long will it take me to get to the beach from the restaurant? Thanks!

1) Ressies do run late as the night progresses.
2) I would plan 1-1½ hrs for the full meal.
3) The beach is a 5-7 minute walk.

I would say that the earliest Wishes would have to start would be at 10:00 for you to be able to see it. Even if you check into Ohana early, chances are pretty good that you will still have to wait past your reservation time for a table (maybe you will luck out and get a table sooner than we usually do though!) and then add another 1 -1.5 hours for dinner (depending on how much/fast you eat).

We ate there last in May with a 7:45 reservation time and I was in MK about 15 minutes before the fireworks started at 10:00.

OK, thanks. I switched days and was able to get a 7:05. I'd rather not cut it close.

We had an 8:55 in September I figured wishes would just be starting then-Wrong-it was at 8:00 that night so I felt horrible leaving the park instead of staying to watch
