Hi,

We are scheduled on the 830 Capt Marvins trip to Stingray City. We have to be to their office by 800am. I have read on an earlier post that DCL tours are tendered first and that we might not get off the ship in time? Is this true? Should I change my tour time? Also....has anyone added the trip to Hell and the Seven mile beach after their boat ride? Is it worth the 19.50pp extra? Thanks in advance.

Heather

When we cruised this past Jan. We were told to assemble in the Walt Disney Theatre for instructions to tender. The first tender boat was already filled up, they gave their (DCL) excursions the first tickets to board the first tender. After the first boat had left they announced that no other tender were leaving due to rough seas. DCL cancelled all of their morning excursions and announced they would refund all those who booked morning excursions. We were the cruise that was filming the ABC show, According to Jim, and since the crew was preparing to take over alot of deck 9 and 10, they decided to try and move to the other side of the island to tender. After the move, we were all allowed to tender to shore. All of the privately booked shore excursions had reps at the new place and offered anyone ,including the cancelled Disney people, a chance to book at a new time. I've read alot of posts about problems getting ashore at Grand Cayman so I'd suggest you give yourself a little extra time and book a little later, I'm sure that Capt. Marvins would still accomodate you if you arrive a little late due to tendering problems...Mark

We went on the all day excursion booked directly with Captain Marvinson April 27th. You have to go to the Buena Vista Theater to get tender tickets (yes each member of your party must be there) and then you head out to the gangway to leave the ship. We were on the first tender boat off (as was everyone else who was in the theater at 7:30 am) and got to Captain Marvins in more than enough time.

BTW, it was our favorite day of the cruise! What a wonderful job CM does.

Let me know if there is more I can help with.
