Day 1 Boarding
The anticipation for this day was overwhelming but it was finally here not a moment too soon. My family and I got on the bus that would take us from the hotel to the cruise it was a fast ride there. The fist thing I noticed was goofy hanging on the back of the ship, a nice foreshadowing of the trip ahead. As we walked through security we went and had our pictures taken and names yelled for everyone to hear ya know same as everyone else gets. When all that was over we went up to see our cabin, the cabin was smaller then I pictured but it was good for the amount of time I spent in it. My siblings and I went to explore the boat or more specifically the Common grounds for teens, the pools, and movie theatres. By this time it was almost time for the life boat drill so we made are way back to the cabin and put on the life jackets and went walking to the drill. We were early but no big deal. The life jackets are a pain in the neck (literally) to wear but the drill wasnt too long. After the drill I headed up to common grounds to meet some kids I met on the boards and we talked and then ran off to early dinner. Our first place to eat was Lumieres; we met the waiters and order food. All the food was really fancy, I ordered the steak which was really good, oh and there cherry cokes are awesome too. The waiter decided I couldnt cut my steak on my own cause I was not of legal drinking age, what one has to do with the other Im not sure but from then on he cut my steak every night I had it. After that I went back up to common grounds and hung out till the 411 meeting which I didnt realize was not till 4 hours later. I ended up meeting new friends then instead of at the 411. I met one girl at first and we hit it off and ended up talking as though we had been friends forever and in turn made the counselor, Shannon, ask if we had been. We also had the whole common grounds quite listening to us. Since we ended up being the social ones at first all the girls were sent are way which made us meet many other kids who we would hang out with until well Im not sure we still talk. As time went on we got to talking to Shannon as well. One kid was joking with her which ended up with Shannon spraying the kid with water. We really didnt think she would do it but she showed us and it soon be came a routine thing, that someone would be sprayed with water everyday. Finally it was time for the 411 meeting and they split us up into 2 age groups 13-15 and 16-17. Which in my opinion was a bad idea cause I had made many friends in the other group then my own, oh well it was not to long and we split into tribal teams. Basically they were teams in which we would go against each other in many different games through out the week. The last thing that night scheduled was a dance at Studio Sea. Now Im not much of a dancer but the dances became my favorite part of the cruise. There is nothing like loud music, people dancing, and no adults to make any teen happy. At 12:30 that ended and common grounds was open till 2am.
Day 2 Key West
I slept in till about noon while the rest of my family got off the ship to go visit key west and do the excursions they had planned, I was free the whole day which resulted in going up to common grounds and watching fast and the furious and gone in 60 seconds while talking, sounds kind of boring but in actuality it was quite amusing getting to know everyone and learn as much as you can about someone in the lil bit of time you had together. I ate at Animators palate and again had the steak and had it cut up for me. The neat thing about this restaurant was watching the pictures change colors but you can only watch that for so long so when I was done eating I tried to leave only to be stopped by my waiter telling me to wait 5 minutes for a show to happen, I waited and they started showing many pics from many different Disney movies and at the end everything is color including the waiters vest. It was a neat show to put on but then I snuck out and headed back to common grounds to chill. At common grounds we registered for a game called Gotcha. Gotcha was a game involving killing people by shaking hands, stabbing them with a paper spoon, pouring water on them, kissing them and then some other ways of killing them. The game would be played all day tomorrow but tonight we had Karaoke down in Studio Sea. Not much karaoke happened so we went right into dancing which just like the day before was a lot of fun and like the night before, common grounds closed at 2am. I didnt make it back to the room till 2am once again.
