Hey everyone,
we just got back Thursday from our beautiful land and sea package which we did book seperately. We stayed at the dolphin from 8/23 til 8/28 and let me tell you how beautiful it was both the weather and the parks. The weather when we usually go in July or early august is much worse and the lines were incredibly short this time. Everything was 30 mins or less including when we went to Universal studios. Also, we did take the disney cruise line transfers since it was only the two of us and it worked out just fine. We arrived at the ship at 145pm - hopped right on, and got right on the ship and the best part was, that our room was already. We were assigned room 2060 which is a category nine which was booked and we were assigned APPT for our dining rotation at 815pm.
Unfortunately, that night we had to move our rooms since our bathroom shower was broken and once we turned it on, the thing started shooting out everywhere. So disney moved us to room 2066 about 2 am that night. At first we were alittle mad but got over it since this room we liked a bit better since the bed was on the right side of the wall instead of the left like the previous room.
The first day included a:
Sail away celebration, and Hercules the Muse-ical Show which we did not like at all and honestly we left fifteen minutes before it ended. We also sat with the two nicest people every. We were assigned a dining table with a mother and a young daughter who were from Chicago who we hit it off right away with :goodvibes

DAY 2 - This night was a juggler/ comedian person which we just skipped since we went to Palo for dinner that night and boy was it UNBELIEVABLE. Our server was MICHAEL from the phillipines and by the end of the night we wanted to take him home. We tried the souffle and it was very good but we actually like the Panna cota much better which was recommended by Michael.

DAY 3
Day at Castaway Cay- we had cabana massages with Jill and Naomi and let me tell you it was the most wonderful experience ever. We also rented the water trikes but unfortunately after 25 minutes we had to get out because we were so HOT! Also, cookies BBQ was great but they did not have lobster burgers anymore :confused3 - I really wanted to try them but what can we do!
Golden Mickeys Show was that night which we really liked
Also tonight was pirates themed night which we really enjoyed and we especially liked the parrot cay pirates menu!
Pirates in the Caribbean Party started at 9:45
Fireworks weren't until about 10:30
Pirate Buffet (desserts, snacks, some food) began at 10:45- the buffet was just ok we thought and it was too much food already!!

Night 4 - Day at Sea- today we booked the palo brunch which again was unbelieveable and we had MICHAEL again which of course made it so good. Try the chocolate flan at brunch- its incredible :cheer2:
This was also a sad day since we had to say goodbye to our tablemates and the ship but we managed by booking a 7 day for next august :rotfl:

Also, my cousin is so afraid of the ships and of seasickness and we did not feel the ship move at all.
What a wonderful trip- we can't wait to do it again!!

On the last day since we had an early flight booked- disney recommended if you had a flight before 1230pm that you get off the ship by 8 am so we did just that but we had breakfast that morning in beach blanket buffet first and we were off the ship by 815am checking our luggage curbside since we were on delta song and that is one of the companys that participates in disney curbside service once you get off the ship. So we were through security and everything by 935 am and just hung out in the airport till our 1140am flight and again we were taken to the airport by disneys cruise line shuttle so we had no problem using them at all. They were efficient and reliable and what better way to go a disney cruise and leave from one when you get disney entertainment also on the bus :cheer2:

Thanks for the review! We are doing basically the same cruise next year. August 27, 2006 - four nighter on the Wonder. Glad to hear the parks weren't too crowded, since we plan to hit WDW prior to the cruise. :)

Sounds like you had a fantastic trip!
I'll bet your ready to go again!
I know I am. Thanks for the review.

hey there ~ we were on this cruise too!! We had a blast....I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the weather was....it was hot, but not as bad as I thought it would be and the crowds at WDW appeared to be low too. Glad to hear you had a great time!
