8:20am Crystal Palace - drive or bus?

Normally I drive my rental car to every park except the Magic Kingdom and take the resort bus to MK to avoid the TTC. If I have an 8:20 reservation at the CP should I still take the bus or will I likely be parked close enough to the TTC to avoid the trams and negate the time advantage of the bus? Any suggestions? Staying at POR if it makes a difference.

Bus. Buses start about 6:30 every morning and drop you off virtually at the park - no need to transfer to a second form of transportation (personal vehicle being the first).

Bus, it will drop you off at the MK.

If you drive it's to the TTC and then monorail. Even if you walk to the TTC from the parking lot, you still need to wait for a monorail or a boat.

I haven't tried the bus for early reservations, but we have driven to pre-park CP reservations twice. Both times, we arrived at the TTC lot around 7:30 and were able to park extremely close to the TTC - parking lot was almost empty. Hopped right on the resort monorail and were outside the MK gates in about 10 minutes. I wouldn't count on the busses being faster at that time of morning - depends on how long you have to wait for one. I liked that we could control exactly when we got there with the car and thus could leave a little bit later - every minute counts when it's that early!

Last time we had an early reservation at MK we chose to drive and use monorail. That was a big mistake. Sat on the monorail for 15 minutes while they did some testing. This time we are taking the bus.
