I really enjoyed the segment on how to handle an emergency. I'm going to pass that on to my siblings, who are locals. Thank you!
I've never ventured into Napa Rose (cost and money), but I will happily go, now that I know I can just get dessert!
I wasn't sure if I misheard (because I listen while running on the treadmill) or if it was mispronounced, but the correct way to say prix fixe is pree feeks. Americans tend to say pree fix (as in fix the broken shelf), but the French pronunciation is feeks.
And, while I'm here, I'll mention that tzatziki is pronounced more like dzadziki or jajiki in Greek (at least, in Athens, where I lived), but in America, it's usually tzatziki, with a more pronounced t sound than d or j.
