Hi Lisa!
Strange how I feel like I know you but never actually met you!
DS will be 6 next month so he will be almost 7 1/2 by the time we cruise again.![]()
Yes but you always have to put ain it cause you Pirated the post ..
![]()
And youpirated the TOP of the page....another little milestone that some of us Blabbermouths celebrate.......
Our youngest DS will be 7 when we cruise together ...Yeah![]()
Hey great!
I have to tell you... my DS (5 now) was not so happy with his somewhat brief experience with the kids club on our last cruise... (Just last month) because he couldn't believe how many kids were "out of control" and didn't listen to the councelors! He got frustrated and wasn't having as much fun as when he was in the 3-4 year old group when we first sailed. I am definitely interested in finding kids his age to "pre"introduce him to so he can make friends, be ready to have fun and not worry about the rest.
Also looking for DDs around 11-12 for my DD to make friends with... Man, did that work out well on our last cruise! (Kids happy=parents happy!!)![]()

I have a feeling this thread is going to move fast all the way thru. There are members of the Blabbermouths and the DIS Geeks onboard and we all like to gab.![]()
I have spoken with someone at DU and this is basically what they told me so I am passing it on to you. Please trust that this is a very reliable source. I took notes.
The basic answer is yes – any reservation booked or transferred to DU is automatically eligible for their current promotion. Anyone who books with them or transfers to them will get that SBC.
Folks can transfer their reservations now and have DU take care of switching these to a new sail date on 1/31 or they can do it themselves and switch it at that time.
If you want DU to do it for you, you have to authorize them to make the change beforehand without getting a price first. Remember what happened the last time? People asked for pricing which they provided then they wanted to switch an existing cruise reservation to that booking but DCL wouldn’t let them. Then when DU tried to move the existing cruise in they found the rate had changed and the price went up. DU wants to avoid that happening this time so they are asking all their clients to either authorize the change upfront or acknowledge that the quote they provide may not be valid for a transfer later that day.
If someone is able to get up and be on the phone when these are released, they might be better off doing the switch to the repo cruise themselves then transfer to DU later that day when they have exactly what they want.
I hope this helps to reassure people and avoid problems down the line.

8 $2,999 - $3,999
9 $2,699 - $3,899

Third, Fourth and Fifth Guests Age Requirements: Rates:

This is just for an idea.
Our thread had been open 4 days -- 300 posts
At our current average of 75 posts a day
Approximately 576 days until we repossess
That would create us 43,200 posts.
As long as I can snag a room we will be on this Repo. Cruise. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary on DCL Dec. 2007 so the Med Repo was just too close to Dec. to be able to do both. Aug. 2008 looks wide open!![]()
So did I get 600th?

Yah... guess I got it- so now back to quietly catching up on whats' goin' on...
Well -
- actually, in an honest to goodness effort to resume being "neighborly"... I'll edit this into my last posting so as not to "pad" my posting tally...
Now... I kno IBGRAVES counseled to let the TA handle it.... but this very question has been vexing me a bit. As I am wondering whether I should transfer my exisitng Reservation I rebooked while aboard recently to a TA to manage for this PC booking. I wonder whether I should get up at 4AM California time to try and manage it myself or risk a TZ handling 10 or 100 cabins who then may have to pick and choose hwo they will allocate their resources. I'm not accustomed to delegating much sometimes.
Now - I still want to eventually transfer my Reservation to a TA who will provide me with an additional cabin credit (like DU)... and I have another TA I've used in the past but am having difficulty relocating. And - I think since my other TA relocated she may not have the kind of flexability as she used to have.
So I guess I am getting a little anxiety over how I should handle the booking on this... do I let the TA do it or do I wing it on my own then transfer it after the 31st?
Any further thoughts folks beyond IBGRAVES remarks quoted below???
Lisa: Do you know If I make my own reservation with DCL if I could then just call DU on the 31st and have them transfer it so I could get the extra OBC. You can only get the extra OBC with DU on Jan. 31st. right ?![]()
captaincrash: Lovely pic of your family.![]()
Once you guys get into the swing, the only true pirates will have 3 0s in them....1000, 2000, 3000....![]()
Regarding the TA, you have had a lot of experience booking cruises and know just what you want. I would say the same that I am doing for my advice to you. I will be on the phone myself.
BTW...since this is the beginning of a long & fun cruise meets thread...my ID is LBGRAVES...my initials.![]()
