Oh my funny. She is now walking around with it in her mouth and she then lays it down and barks at it. Like it is a prey or something. She is so much fun. I am amazed at how dexterous she is with her nose and feet. She just buried it next to me on the couch and you would never know it is there. The pillows are just so and the cover over the bottom cushions is smoothed out. Hope no one sits there. Might get a surprise.

These images are a little large - but they brought me chuckles so I had to post them....

On a lighter note. I was sent this link to youtube from a friend & it is really very funny. It's from an interview on the Ellen show with a grandma in Texas via telephone if you haven't seen it, it's worth watching.

I've never posted a link on the DIS before so I hope I did this right. Keep your fingers crossed!

Does anyone else who sends their kids to parochial school find it funny how we pay bookoo $ to get them this fantastic once-in-a-lifetime education and somehow, they have all these 'extra' holiday and time off from school or early exit days?

We're not at parochial school, but I hear you on this!! What I don't get is how the school thinks we're going to deal with it. If both parents were working and only got 2 weeks of vacation a year - they'd have to spend all their vacaiton time - separately - to cover all the holidays!! Leaving no time for the family. :confused3

In reality, the parents are pretty supportive of each other in taking each others kids. Ah-Ha! It's a plot by the school to bring the parent community closer together. Shared problems and all that.

You use your garage for cars??

 Can people do that? I thought the garage was for all the stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else.

Last september on the 11 nite I messed up... I couldn't get the extension cord under the door to power up the stuff I brought. <chuckles> Next year I'm gonna have a better ... PLAN.

Batteries next time??? ;)

when I finally learn how to resize correctly just may have to post those - they're hilarious - ask some of the 11_nighters that have seen them - :rotfl2: :lmao:

(Lets just say it involves DH, Brand new camcorder and the Devil's Triangle!)

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Well?? Do share?? (Unless you've already done it - I'm about 40 pages back...)

What a great idea having the kids helping out on the farm is. We did a GS trip last year to a working dairy farm in VT and the girls loved helping out with all the chores, milking the cows, feeding the babies with those HUGE bottles. Oh, and at that same farm DD begged for one of the kittens from the barn. Of course, I gave in. Guess who feeds and takes care it? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

About lasik...friends that have had it done are always raving and saying I should have done. But, something about messing with my eye.......just can't do it.:scared:

I really like the fact that our kids have the opportunity to experience so much more than book work at school. Last year (3rd grade) he brought home this little hand made weaving of yellow and purple yarn. As a parent I show it off and other parents sort of shrug - So? What they don't understand is that - he sheared the sheep! He knows where his clothes and food come from in a way few city kids do.

Really? He couldn't tell the difference right away? I know they do it differently from when I had it done... Oh never mind. This is second time and his sight wasn't so bad.:headache:

Yes, this was his second "fine tuning" lasik. The first took him from 20/1200 to 20/40 - yeah - the difference was dramatic. When he laide down they asked him to look at the clock on the wall ("What clock?"). When he got up he could read the time clearly. Wow.

Every so often I will have a dream where DH did something that made me really angry. I wake up really POed at him and it takes me awhile to figure out why.:lmao:

I do that too! And then I feel so silly about it. :rotfl2:

If you see him, you'll be speechless. :faint: A fine human specimen, he is.
ALMOST as good looking as Andy!;) just wanted to see if you were paying attention, Andy......

Yep, I'm paying attention, just having a hard time keeping my eyes open at the moment, I think I need a Power Nap. ;)

I have the ability to evoke violent tendencies in the most unviolent people.

The Mahatma Ghandi and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. once threatened to beat me up in a dark alley.

:wizard:

I heard Mr. Rogers kicked your add.....

OK, that does it, nap time for me..............see y'all later on.............maybe :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Absolutely hysterical:rotfl2: Thanks for the link.

Went to the Yankees game vs Braves at Disney. Yankees won:banana:

Boy was it hot! I had to keep getting up and going under the shade. The emts were very busy as well. Hope the weather breaks for everyone up North. It's about time you had sosme spring.

BIP< I work with a young man who went thru the same thing last year. It just takes time.

Suppose a quantity has an initial value of x1, and then increases or decreases to a final value of x2.

The percent change, D%, is calculated by finding the difference x2 - x1 (subtracting the initial value from the final value), then dividing the result of this subtraction by x1 (the initial value), and finally multiplying by 100. Expressed as a formula:

D% = 100 (x2 - x1) / x1

If x2 > x1 (the final value is larger than the initial value, representing an increase in the variable quantity), then D% is a positive number.

If x2 < x1 (the final value is smaller than the initial value, representing a decrease), then D% is a negative number.

All I see is math blah, blah, blah

You just HAD to go and complicate things, didn't you!?!?! :sad2: :lmao:

And don't you laugh at ME because I don't have a freakin clue!! :headache:

You mean you didn't find that "intuitively obvious"? :lmao: I had a prof (Dr. Andrea Viterbi....for those of you who are signals & systems ubergeeks, you'll recognize "Viterbi" as the name of the father of CDMA--the technology that brought us the cell phone...Andrea is his daughter) who would spend 45 minutes filling up 4 whiteboards with equations and then saying "It's intuitively obvious that the solution approaches infinity..."

Uh yeah, it's intuitively obvious if you've been playing in your daddy's lab since you were 4 and you have a double PhD in electrical engineering and theorictical analytics! :sad2:

But Andrew, I'm NOT on the Med cruise with you :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: -- you have forgotten, but we will be on the 10 night beginning Aug. 8 (when you get off your 11 night) . . .

And then I'll be on the day you get off. We should hide secret messages or something. :rotfl:

We hadn't been to a concert in years and then last Xmas I took Mark to a Christmas concert our local country station put on. It was Big & Rich, local boy Josh Gracin, Cowboy Troy, Jason Michael Carroll and Rushlow-Harris. We just purchased tickets to see Kenny Chesney's flip flop tour, that will have Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, Sara Evans, Pat Green and of course, Kenny. Can't wait for that. Maybe we are on a roll and we will get to go to more concerts. :cool1:

I would love to go to either of those.

Just got notice about an end of summer bash with Toby Keith. Unfortunately it's the day I get home from my Med cruise. Actually not even the day I get home, the day we dock at PC.

And then I'll be on the day you get off. We should hide secret messages or something. :rotfl:

Oooooh, I like that idea! Let's figure out some place for me to hide you a note or a postcard or something -- I could even tape it under a piece of furniture if we had established exactly where I would do it (and if I don't get caught) -- that would be fun!!!!!!

Uh yeah, it's intuitively obvious if you've been playing in your daddy's lab since you were 4 and you have a double PhD in electrical engineering and theorictical analytics! :sad2:
