Liftoff and landing don't bother me (except that until I figured out how to pop my ears I'd have MAJOR pain on landing) but turbulence? oh doggy.. I can't handle turbulence. It revs up my worrying to maximum level. Anxiety galore! Fortunately I've only experienced that once.I can deal with everything but the landing - I hate it when the landing is rough. A few years ago we were flying to St. Louis for our convention and had to fly from Albany to Atlanta to St. Louis. Anyway there was some hurricane or other that was going on (cat 1) and when we landed in Atlanta I was almost reaching for the barf bag. The really funny thing is I was flying with one of the guys from work who has a real flying phobia and had run out of his meds. So during the take off and landings I agreed to hold his hand - when we got off the plane in Atlanta he had nail marks embedded into the palm of his hand.
Are you talking about the regular kind or the flipflops? That's why I really like the flipflops and only wear the regular kind when it's somewhere I need to make sure my shoes won't fall off (like riding rides/etc.) I don't like how they make my feet look HUGE and I'm short- so it really looks funny. LOL Like clown shoes or something...I agree! The pair I ordered came today.I wear between 8.5 & 9. I got a nine, they feel fine BUT they are UGLY on the feet. I am hoping that the comfort will make me see past the big fat glob of red where my feet used to be.
I wonder who she is too... I probably know her by disname and not her real name. Now if I could only see the website I would know Theresa's DISname, so I might know who she is....![]()
Wow, I never knew that and sure enough it was as simple as you said! Cool beans...Well, for me it was open new message > view > all headers....and it showed up.Thanks!

LOLWhy thank you. I had friends in college who suggested I should do stand-up comedy, but my "humor" is situational. I always thought Chandler on "Friends" was patterned after me -- I used humor as a defense growing up, too.
I'm hilarious with family and very close friends but I basically behave like that too- as a defense mechanism when I'm around people I don't know well or groups of people that I don't know them all that well. Funny you should mention Chandler, I totally "got" that type of humor.
ack- don't give me more things to worry about!I know you missed my earlier post.....but what if I get a depressed Pilot that wants to commit suicide??? Huh, then what???![]()
Well they won't be walking around asking are you BIP, because I'll stand out in my RED SHIRT.Now I have this image of you walking up to each of us on embarkation day and asking "Are you Theresa?" "Are you Theresa?" "Are you Theresa?"

Oh shoot! I thought that coupon didn't expire until end of march?? Bummer.Other News: I FINALLY ordered a pair of Mickey Crocs! Dick's Sporting Goods has the red in a Women's Small (6-7) which is one of the sizes I can wear. The 20% code had expired, but I did find a 10% click-through discount and used the Google checkout $10 off - Total = $21.49 which is a lot less than I was going to pay at Disney last month if they had my size.
pdarrah (Pamela)

And me! trying to catch up and constantly staying behind until basically late at night (when most everyone is gone) and then multi-quoting has cut down my amount of posts lately also. LOLYou & Judy.![]()
I've only RECENTLY been able to get the youngest to sleep in her own room alone. And she still fights me on it sometimes, especially weekends. We coslept with her until she was a bit older then she had to share a room with her older sister for awhile, so it's only been the past few years we've tried to get her to sleep in her own room and more likely than not didn't want to fight it so she'd sometimes sleep in her sister's room and sometimes "tenting" or "slumber bag" ing on the floor in brother's room... but FINALLY she's been sleeping in her own room.Lisa, I know what your going thru. This winter we finally got the girls sleeping in their own beds. What we did which would be hard in your case was we had the older DD 11 put the younger DD 8 to sleep, they ended up sleeping in the same bed (full size), but thats fine. For the first time in 11 years we have enjoyed sleeping like "normal" people.

It was hilarious... but you could tell (especially with the lady) they were having them even act like they didn't know the answer when they did! Like the mayflower? She was totally acting like it was hard and she had no idea- but then said the right answer. Whatever. The only one I had 2 guesses for was the impeached president question. I never was good with remembering things like that (geography and then history are things I did well in school but then totally forgot almost all of it the minute I walked out of the school. my brain just does not WANT to remember that stuff, for some reason) Apparently that forgetting stuff starts early because my 9yr old knew the answer but my 13yr old didn't have a clue- couldn't remember.LOL! That 5th grade show made the adults look pathetic. Did ANY of them get a question right without using the kids?![]()
Where are you going for 5 days? We'll miss you!OK, I was going to speak up here.Someone will need to do the summaries while I am gone for 5 days though. I will have to send out a search party for Judy.
I read all the posts so I can help with the summaries if you like.
Oh no fluffing way! No way no how. DH would love to learn to fly but no no no no and no.![]()

Excellent point.
Seriously though. Have the folks who are afraid of flying thought about learning how to do it? Or at least the ground school portion, and may be a couple of lessons? It might help if you have a good understanding of what is really going on. I know that on past flights DH (who is a private pilot) has talked to seatmates who are afraid of flying. "So, now this is going to happen, and this is what the plane will feel like, and this is what the pilot is doing now." They said it really helped them
Ground school is available on DVD these days. Heck you could probably pick up a used set on eBay.
I guess I do have strong opinions and I don't beat around the bush, remember?ok,bbb , you really are of strong opinions..., yes, that is true esp. for lil
girls..but growing up..it was forced upon taking your lil'brother. but i feel
a 14y/o should /would not be interested in 4-6 y/o level of play, isn't
that a freshman in high school vs first/second/third graders. girls at that
age ,baby sititing? but hanging out...we would not permitt.
I guess I just disagree but it depends strongly on the situation/circumstance and the gender. I do think that girls tend to start getting the maternal instincts and like hanging with younger girls- because they like the same things... fix hair, nails, etc. Like we recently had my eldest's bday party and it was all 13/14yr olds at the party... my 6yr old fit right in just like one of the older girls! Because she's a diva and loves that facial/nails painted/pedicure/fixing hair contest/etc. stuff.
Laura, I hope you feel better soon and everyone else that is not feeling well or has sick children. I hope you are all well soon!
Esteri, Theresa is wanted because Lisa said she's the one doing the new website and the new website is wanted!

Still missing Judy..

Now everyone is asleep now that I've caught up, right?
