I have a quick question before I leave for work.

Will they braid an adults hair on the ship?

I always get my hair braided BEFORE going on vacation. I'm wondering if they will be able to touch it for me. I know after spending 6 days in CA, I'll need to have some of it(the front) redone for the formal pictures.

My niece's friend that was sailing with us in May 2006 had her hair braided, by the next morning, she couldn't stand it and took the braids out. My niece (30) also had her hair braided at the beginning of our cruise, by the end of the week she had taken her braids out as well. My DD braids remained in for a few weeks. This is a pic of my niece's friend Michelle.

And here is my DD's braids, she liked them, even though she said it hurt.

OK, I'm off to prepare to be a quasi-productive member of society for a little while. I spent so much time here this morning, I'll have to skip shaving my legs.

Okay Judy....this song is for you....do you remember this one?

To the tune of Hey Jude by the Beatles......

Hey Jude...........
I saw you nude.............
Don't try and fake it........
I saw you naked............

That needed a coffee warning.....now I gotta see if I can find some tissue to clean the monitor, seemed to have used them all up yesterday.

Our Toys R Us still carried toy boxes the last time I was there. Most of them were the Step 2 plastic kind, but there were a few wooden ones.

IKEA also carried toy boxes the last time I was there, which was sometime last year.

Yeah, DW wasn't pleased about that plastic thing...I won't say what she called it ;)

Alas the nearest Ikea is 100s of miles away!

Good morning...I got up today and promptly fell to the ground! Sharp, shooting pain from my big toe. Swollen to about 3x its normal size! :sad1:

Good news is I'll stay home and can maybe keep up with the board! :rotfl:

OUCH!

The whole point of the website it to help everyone communicate better with each other. That is done thru emails. Honestly, that isn't the biggest concern. I have NO way of sending out the emails as a BCC and noone has come up with a different way of doing it. Right now Theresa and I are working on setting up the new site that will have a lot more information and have a password to access it.

The simplest solution for this is to set up a private Yahoo! group. Then you send invites out to each of the e-mail addresses and mail comes and goes from <groupname>@yahoogroups.com rather than showing anyone's e-mail address.

This method also allows moderators to remove or ban people who misuse the list.

Okay now we have the armour hot dog song......

Rugby, armored rugby...
What kinds of boys play armored rugby.....
Big feet, little feet, pirates hats on heads
stumbling, falling, now I need some meds
Oh rugby ....armored rugby......the kind you like to watch....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good Morning ...The sun is shinning here and should get up to 70 , so with blue skys looks like I may have a need to head to the airfield today ...LOL

pirate:

Yea, go ahead and rub it in, I couldn't even get my work car windshield wipers to work the ice was still so thick on the car. I finally got the wipers working around 11am after it started to warm up a bit. I nearly went down several times this morning. A lot of people haven't been able to clear off their sidewalk, walkway or steps. Slip, slide and away, that was my theme song this morning.

I've got to fix myself something to eat, Hazel is off shopping. Will have to try and ketchup in a bit.

Cap'n!

Hopefully our DS will grow up to be one of the "good guys" (of course, it's those seemingly innocent ones you have to worry about :rolleyes1) Of course some future dad may not like him because he's a "pretty boy"

Speaking of which...have you seen the Haggar ad for dads with daughters? :thumbsup2

Well...

.. all I can say is with MY experiences... with the 1st young lady who might have been considered a "girl friend" ... on the occasion of meeting her father he just happened to be cleaning his guns on the kitchen table. <mock stern chucklin> and he looked to be kind of "serious". I have to confess.... I did not feel threatened nor did I have ANY clue. I was a "good" and "innocent" boy after all. It was, however his daughter who was the naughty one!

With that in mind I hope to exercise BOTH the kitchen table weapons cleaning exercise when meeting my daughters first boyfriends... and 2nd) I'll be installing that "cuff" on their ankles that they use for house arrest sorts like Martha Stewart combined with chemical therapht to suppress their "raging hormones" as my spouse jokingly puts it. THAT or surgery to remove the troublesome glands... or have a surgeon attach a clothes pin to clamp the troublesome glands! <silly cackles>.

That... or maybe I'll send the girls to an ALL girls catholic school... although I've heard THAT is no solution either. Some likened that to sending an alcholic to a liquor store. That, however confuses me as I did say... "ALL GIRLS school" after all...???

<OK.... maybe I'm just kidding about all the proceeding? >
My spouse IS the first girl I've ever kissed...
and that story is well known about me!

Anybody remember the O'Cedar commercial?????
I can't seem to get it out of my head but like this:

O'Blender makes your life easier....
O"Blender makes your life easier......

ROFLMAO! I had that song going thru my head the first time that I read O'Blender. :lmao:

Lisa,
If the offer is still good, could you help me with my siggie picture? I've tried resizing it, uploading it to photobucket and then adding. It still comes out HUGE!

This is as close as I can get it to 200 pixels high.

Thanks

I don't want to use to much of my MOUSE MONEY in the ship's salon.:rotfl2:

$15 is a great price. I pay $80.00 but that also includes the hair that gets braided in. Even with out the hair I'd have to pay about $50.

When I get my hair braided it's usually like number 15 in the link below. It's a quick and easy style.(only take about 3 hours to have it done)

Well, I'm off.

I'm sure it'll take me forever to catch up this evening.

Have a great day everyone.

I think we paid $26.00 plus tip for Angelina's braids, it was $2.00 per braid if I remember correctly.
