My reasoning now is...do we want to save up for the kids to go to college or put them in Catholic school now?

We struggled with that as well. Problem is our area is growing so rapidly that the public schools cannot keep up. Overcrowding issues as well as inadequate staff and materials. But, DD loooooooooves her school, is very happy and is doing incredibly well. What more could I ask for?

I'll never forget being about 13 and visiting friends of my fathers for the weekend. Their son, daughter and I stayed up to watch something on Showtime and when it went off on came this soft porn thing. I was shocked, not having seen anything like this before and asked it that stuff came on all the time. Of course, the other two were very blase about it and looked at me like I had just grown horns out of my head!

I have had DS in public school since K. I have always been happy with it. I and DH were raised in Catholic school though.

I must admit, I don't usually give anything up for lent anymore.

I haven't for years.

Since we're on bad-Catholic confessions...
DD had her first Reconciliation (confession) last month. She was practicing and asked me if I could go with her. I explained that it was just for her class and that I could always go another time. My best friend and I were joking at Father's reaction...
"Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been DECADES since my last confession."

Lisa you can give up cussing, but that doesn't mean you have to give up cursing. They're different you know, and not to be confused with swearing. You don't have to give swearing up either.

I'm shocked and appalled!
(not really. I have to watch myself... when in dignified company, not to talk like a sailor. Okay maybe not THAT bad, but one time I did say the t-**** word without the T- at a basketball game! I'm so glad it was quiet and no one heard me. LOL)

Last cruise, the 3 kids got to be onstage as dwarves during the Golden Mickeys. We got a Golden Mickey statue with the characters' signatures on it.

Way cool!!!!!

I sense a cheesecake duel coming on.

I'm there with you! TG they take the kids over a couple of times a year at CCD otherwise DS would never get there - another thing for my MIL to have against me.

Up here in Canada we would call you a true Heinz 57 ! Don't know if you have this in the states, but it is a steak sauce similar to A-1 Steak sauce. It supposedly has 57 ingredients!

That's what I used to call myself. I'm Irish,Danish,French and German.
