You got more accomplished than I did today. The kids came home at noon & nothing got done after that. Before that I stopped in at the chiropractor for an adjustment because my back has been pulling when I reach for things lately. It is enflamed again. I then stopped by a friend's house to drop off some baby stuff I have been getting in the mail for her & talk about what is going on with the school. Oh, before all of that I managed to get the kids to school earlier than usual so that I could get to my hair appointment on time. Made it with 3 minutes to spare but she was late. I wish that she had cancelled. My hair has been butchered. All I could do all day when I passed a mirror was

And then I left and did FOUR HOURS of running errands, everyone haircuts (except Jeff), etc. Fortunately I'm VERY PICKY about who cuts our hair so I sit and wait for the same person to cut all our hair... I've had my hair butchered before! In fact I'm trying to recover right now from ONE TIME letting the lady that colors my hair just trim my bangs a bit (mostly just to thin them, I have thick hair!) and she started cutting bangs way too far back! So I'm letting that grow out.
But you'd think I'd learned my lesson. Every time I let anyone else but my normal hairdresser (ironically her name is Lisa, seriously!) it gets messed up. I've had my hair totally butchered before.

I hope your hair grows fast sweetie. Mine does, so that was the only saving grace the times it's been butchered. Is it salvagable if you go somewhere else to try to have it fixed? I'm so sorry. It stinks to have your hair cut badly.

Free Old Country lunch for kids on snow days

It's a snow day so there's no school lunch, but there's a free meal for children ages 12 and younger, with paying parents, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today at both the local Old Country Buffet restaurants, says Jim Peterman, community service representative for the restaurant chain.

Old Country has two locations, at 3179 Erie Blvd E., DeWitt and 3667 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Old Country has had the policy for two years to help parents out on snow days, Peterman said. There's no more than two children per paying parent, he said.
