Hazel is babysitting her niece's DD again today. Hailie brought her Snow White dress with her today to play dress-up. I just took this pic of Hailie aka Snow White. She also brought over her Cinderella dress. Funny thing is, Hailie is wearing her glass slippers with the Snow White dress. :goodvibes

Glass slippers no less...

... so what if the stories are blurred... so DIS snow white will eventually drop a slipper and side step the whole apple issue. Sounds like a nice swap... except for the substitution of 7 MEAN Dwarves for the step-sisters and Step Mother...

... Lets' see... what would the 7 mean Dwarves be NAMED? 1) Stinky, 2) Basher 3) Ratty, 4) Brutus, 5) Screamy, 6) Psychotic, and 7) Grumpy (of course). I imagine these particular 7 might be active participants on that alternative "spamming" site... <chuckles>

I know... I should be more respectful ... as I am taking a step down the wrong road with such remarks. Please forgive me while I symbbolicly retract my remarks... now where exactly is the backspace key? ??? :rolleyes1

:grouphug: :grouphug: to everyone that are having to deal with illnesses with family members. I will send pixiedust: to all families wishing everyone gets well.

Oh Boy, I'm so off the topic here but I just had to share my wonderful Valentine's Day and a happy ending. Sadly, I both my beautiful German Shepherds died suddenly within the last 6 months. The whole family was mourning them. Especially, DGS (Matt) as they were very attached and protective of him.
Well, we checked out the German Shepherd rescue website and Matt & I went today and brought home a lovely, young female Shepherd. We just got back home. Her name is Annie and already she & Matt have bonded.
I told DH forget the flowers this is the best Valentine's gift I could ever want.

Just had to share - now I'll go back and see what I've missed and what you guys are chatting about now.

Chris:yay:

awesome!!!! :thumbsup2 I love it when people rescue rather than go to a pet store. The pets that have "found" us are just the best!!! Congrats on the new addition to your family!!!!!:)

Hey, I'm there with you, I will also be bringing my Pepsi on board.:love: :woohoo:
I had some pepsi delivered to my stateroom on the last cruise, since the airlines have that no liquid over 3 oz in carryons. I did not trust the checked luggage enough to pack it in there.

Never had anything done like that. How do you go about having something delivered to your stateroom. We are flying in too and I hate Coke would love to have some Pepsi or Vernors on board.

:lmao: :lmao: Oh boy - do we all need to get separate ID's for evil twins? :lmao: :lmao:

So what shall I use for myalternate identity? Ohh.... how about CrashCaptain? Or... the CrashingCaptain? Or perhaps even better ... CaptainOFcrashing? :confused3

Unfortunely, I had it delivered from the perfect gift out of Florida, I will be in California a few days before this cruise, so I will be picking some up and hopefully be able to bring it onboard this trip.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Joe - I'll be sure to share them with him tonight when I get home from work.

Last night while he was getting ready for bed he comes out of the bathroom and tells me that he is growing a mustache! So I look at his little mustacheless lip and tell him that is the hair that we all have on our lip, so of course I burst his bubble. He is really pushing for puberty to start NOW! On the one hand it is funny to watch because now I know how I must of looked to my mom when I tried to convience her that I really NEEDED to shave my legs at 12. And on the other, my baby is growing up.

That is so funny, Lorri! Joe must be way more mature than Drew. Drew is a very small 11 yr old. He'll be 12 this summer, but he's still weighs less than 70 lbs. And he isn't in any hurry to grow up. For now, he's happy being small. Luckily, there are several boys in his grade that are about his size.

Hey 10/19/79 is our dating anniversary. We celebrate this anniversary more than our wedding anniversary! We're kindred spirits!

I have always wanted to celebrate our dating anniversary - (or at least engagement anniversary) - there were alot of years there (8) that I wish we could count..we were really "together" and committed to each other....just not legally!:)

the spam thing is just wrong!!!! - I was afraid to click on the links so I didn't realize where it lead ....:sad2:

Gm Everyone

Presently 47 going to high of 61 here in Central Florida

Liz

And, it is suppossed to get colder in Florida this weekend. My husband and son are running in the Gaspirilla (Tampa) Marathon this weekend. They had to make sure they had warm enough clothes for the run (or more precisely, during the wait for the run to start).

I, however, will not be standing out in the cold watching them. I am on Gym Mom duty this weekend - my daughter is at the Orange County Convention Center at a Gymnastics Meet this weekend.

Hearing all the stories about flying problems yesterday, I thought you all would enjoy this. Hope it is okay to post.

Just in case you need a laugh:

After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripesheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Qantas' pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.

By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.
P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!)
S: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
And the best one for last..................
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day. Mine wasn't the best because my daughter still had Gym and it is 45 minutes from home. My husband had work responsibilites and couldn't come over with him. He ended up having dinner with my son and a lady from work whose significant other lives out of town. I guess it was the "Lonely Hearts Club".
I don't think Joe is more mature but he sees the 8th graders in middle school who already have the mustaches and decided that he had to have one too to be like them, and also to be like dad. Also, he doesn't like his voice, claims it is squeaky, so he wants it to change so it will be more "manly".
I LOVE PEPSI, that twin of mine drinks Iced Tea, what a weenie
I know we already had the 'who drinks what' conversation a few thousand posts back, but I just wanted to say I'd rather drink sewer water than Pepsi. Wait a minute -- Pepsi WAS the one with the "brown and bubbly" advertising campaign. Hmmm...
Hey! You are my neighbor on the ship (I am 2538) and we have the above in common. We have been "together" for almost 18 years and married for 6 years. Will be 7 in October.
She is the cutest!!!! Glad you are staying out of the cold. We have a heat wave here. It is 2 degrees above zero. We still have 9 inches of snow on the ground.
What make you evil Twin Evil:confused3
Tomorrow I take my spouse to the airport - she will be gone from Tomorrow til wednesday next week. There are urgent health issues with a family member - so she is going to help out - lend a hand and eyes and ears for the rest of the family. I get to hold down the fort til next week... no school for the kids on friday and monday means I'll get wacked over the weekend.
So - you may not have me to kick around much... I'll come back to lurk after 1AM tonight when the DIS finishes updating... I'll be working my way backwards to try and reach my last posting. It's my way....
I hope everything works out.
