Hmmm, were you not the one "hoping for A LOT" yesterday? :rotfl:

Yes, and I still would love to get lots of snow...I just wanna be home instead of work...If I'd known this was gonna get bad, I would have just stayed home...:sad2: :lmao:

DS is not as congested today, but he says he can't walk because his legs are killing him. Geez is there any symptom this kid won't have before all is said & done. I'm not really worried because the same thing happened last year & when I called the doctor they said the virus going around was affecting the legs for a day or 2 & it certainly did.

You're ds is sick, too? I must have missed that....hope he is on the mend!!

Our township schools were thinking of going to uniforms, once the parents saw what they wanted the kids to wear, it got shot down real fast. The selection of styles and colors were horrible at best. :rolleyes1

The township next to us went to uniforms a couple of years ago. It is really called a dress code, just strict. They have certain colors to wear and certain styles of clothing. Some parents complained alot at first, but it seems to have calmed down. I am still waiting for our super to do as he said. He wanted to wait and see how it went there and then we would try it. Haven't heard a thing more though. This reminds me I will have to mention it to him when I see him next. The only problem is that our Elementary schools and the JR and SR HS are seperate so it would only apply to the ES. I would love to have it though!

That is what DD has...the Generation Doll from Target. I picked it up on sale. There is another one out there that is for this Christmas. It was only $5 at 75%. :thumbsup2 I sorted thru everything last week & pulled it down to put in a bag since DD is getting more curious. She is going to love it...she has long red hair...just like her new friend from the last cruise. I have a feeling that she is going to name her after her friend.

I bought a brunette one for a neighbor's daughter last year...they are very cute!

Gotta run and get the little one from preschool. Looks like the snow has slowed down, but the wind has picked up...:sad2:

Good morning everyone, have about 40 pages to catch up on, missed the 19K mark, and this naked rugby really got out of hand. I'll need to clarify.

se ya later, need to read:)

Well just for grins I called the CC member number and tried to get our GTYs changed to assigned rooms.......Sstrrrike One - The nice & polite CM effectively said "they'll get assigned when they get assigned" :rolleyes1

I'll try again tomorrow.

Andy

At least you got one that was polite! ;)

I could of swore I read somewhere that the WB Repo was sold out too, but I just checked the DCL site and they have availability in all categories except 6.

Someone did post that...though I don't remember where. I checked this morning & found the same thing you did. A cat 8 2A2K no ins/trans = 8586.96.

Don't want to forget this!.....

Happy Birthday Katie!!!!

and.......see you at Cedar Point!!

I don't care for the Bratz dolls either. DD has gotten them as gifts, but really isn't into them much. They are skanky little things.

A couple of years ago her Brownie troop went to the Limited Too store and had a tour. DD always wants to go and get clothes there, but they are way to teenagerish(?sp) for her. We did buy a HSM t there because it was the only place that had them at the time. DD wears a 7/8 right now and I had to get a 14 so it wasn't skin tight! That 14 is smaller than some t's she has that are 7/8!

I wonder what some of these clothes designers are thinking! They're little girls. :confused3

[ since we obtained 2 rooms at he entry prices, i believe that in itself,
increase our chances for being bumped...just by the monies they can
now make off the 2 rooms.]

they would be hard pressed to kick me off the ship.... Once in a lifetime you know...especially since i may be adding additional days on at DW.

MR- I hope you're daughter is felling better today!!

I am playing nurse today as well, but my patient is of the 4-legged variety. Our 13 1/2 yo dog, Beau, had been acting out of sorts lately. He wouldn't go up and down stairs, and wasn't as playful. Sunday evening my husband picked him up and noticed some scabs on his belly. We flipped him over to find some pretty nasty looking sores. It had been burried under all of his fur (he's a Sheltie). Took him to the vet yesterday morning and the Vet is very worried. They are running a blood test, and the Vet mentioned it may be cancerous lesions. :sad1:

We won't hear back about the blood test until tomorrow, and the Vet wants to see him again on Saturday. In the mean time I have to keep him and my other dog, Sloopy, separated, and I have a regiment of antimicrobial wash for the wounds, ear drops because his canals were infected also, antibiotics & pain killers....all several times a day. Poor guy. He has always been the most pleasant dog. He was such an angel at the Vets even though he was being poked while he was in so much discomfort.

Oh, no. Poor Baby. I wish him the best.

Oh my, home for lunch and I see 10 pages have been added.

We use to stay at the Hilton over the last 5-10 years. Price was right $80-98. Then last when the 50th Birthday celebration they raised their rates to $150-190/night. The hotel is great. Across the street kinda of. They have their own tram to the main entrance.

thank you! :)

we probably wouldn't pay those prices - but if we have the points, would consider it!

Ketchup time . . .

And wih top dollar for your inventory - all i can say is one of my best friends has a spouse who works for one of the major refineries. And - no doubt about it - the oil companies have a nice gig!
:surfweb:
Yeah - nice gig. Lots of people around here work on "The Slope" - the drill sites in Kaparuk & Prudoe Bay where they drill for oil in far north AK. The average salary is in the ballpark of $90,000. They fly up there on chartered commercial jets, live in a nice dorm and work 12 hour shifts for 2 weeks, fly back home and are off for 2 weeks, like completely off - at home, on vacation, whatever. No expenses at work (food, lodging & flight from Anchorage are free). It is really a nifty place to visit. I had the chance to go up there for a few days with work. That's where I went swimming in the Arctic Ocean.

Oil is also the reason that we don't have income or sales tax in Alaska.

The scales are for weighing their balls before the match to be sure they are regulation.

Well - OK not even I'm going to go there . . .

Your DD actually said she wanted nothing for dessert? Wow! I couldn't keep DD or DH from dessert, and they don't usually eat sweets.

yeah - candy sits around from one holiday to the next - right now I should empty out the Christmas stuff for tomorrow...on the cruise: we just are not used to eating like that - by about the 3rd or 4th night we didn't need dinner let alone dessert!!!!:) She will say "nothing" - then ask for mom and dads though!!!
