Helloooooo Everyone!

Just got back from the Doctor, and guess what? My DD (17) has the FLU and her temperature is 105.1! I thought the Nurse was gonna Poop A Brick! She said that's unnaturally high. I said don't worry, we actually seen DD's temp at 106.7, of course she was 6 at the time. Anyway, she pretty miserable today, she's taking Tamiflu and Bioxin and we are on FLU alert around here! :sad2:

Hope you're all having a nice day!

I am a teacher and I can say there are some funky things going around! Hope your DD is feeling better!

Please don't take offense, but this made me laugh so I just had to respond. DLH is already one of the expensive hotels in Anaheim.;) For comparison I checked the rates for August 2007 and they are as follows:

Disneyland Hotel $255/night

Paradise Pier 285/night

Grand Californian 380/night
We visit Disneyland on average six times a year and always stay at an offsite hotel. Generally the Hyatt Regency or Crowne Plaza which are both about a mile and a half away from Disneyland's front entrance. Now in the interest of full disclosure DH usually gets the Hyatt Regency on Priceline for $59 and that just wouldn't be an option for anyone coming here a few days before the cruise, but even the Hyatt for the same August 2007 as above is only $140 per night, the Crowne Plaza which is directly next door is $130.00 per night. Both these hotels have their own free shuttle which operates every 30 minutes and takes you directly to the front entrance.

Michelle

Well now...

.. now that's real interestin' cuz we usually use hotwire - and never have considered price line for a hotel. $59 a nite is DIRT CHEAP for the Hyatt. We've stayed there and at the Crown Plaza in the last year and we like 'em both. The CP has an especially nice breakfast buffett - included FREE if you're a GOLD member of their frequent stay club IN ADVANCE of your check in. We generally spend about $75 on Hotwire for these kind of properties... which clearly is less then the Disneyland properties - and they are not quite as convenient since you can't walk directly in and out of the amusement park to your hotle lobby like you can with say the Grand Californian. I've stayed there ONCE... and it was nice. We did it when the youngest one was really young and we wanted to visit California Adventure for the 1st time. Pricey - and potentially worth doing at least ... ONCE. And... it would have been much better to do if we had more kids who were older in retrospect... :confused3

Thanks for all the good vibes for my DD. She's a really good kid and I hate to see her so sick. She was crying the body aches are so bad. Poor baby.

Anyway, I have an idea. Tomorrow is the 1 month anniversary of our thread at 5:39pm. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could get to 20,000 posts before the first month is out. That would just have to be some sort of record don't you think?

Anyone game, I know the wenches are but how you the men.........huh scabbies???????

So tell me I see over the last couple of pages that cabins are becoming available. Did this just happen this afternoon.

Or...........did cabins open up because people start to cancel when they heard the Swabbies would be playing naked Rugby on CC :lmao: :lmao:

So sorry to hear Mary Rose! My DS was sick all weekend. He is feeling much better today. His fever spiked to about 103 & he had a headache & stomach before it went into a full fledged cold. Does that sound like the flu? :confused3

It's amazing to see how the prices have risen on the repo. I'm surprised they're offering rooms. I guess it can't be too oversold.

Thank you for that :goodvibes

I don't know how to do the multiple quote thing, but my sincere thanks to all of you for my DD!

Just priced my Cat 11 $800 more than what I am paying.

Still doing a happy dance at scoring a deal.:woohoo:

Must be the rugby :lmao: !

But the rooms are no longer available (at least as of 5 minutes ago)! And I got real excited thinking that maybe I would have an assigned cabin, but no such luck.

Sorry if this is old news... but, they are now showing availability for a cat 9 gty and the price is only $575 more than I paid when I booked at 9:00 on the 31st!
