Oh YES!!! The Grande Manier souffle in Lumiere's is excellent too!

OH The grande marnier (sp?) ! I enjoyed so many desserts! I want one now!!! Funny BF had his first Mickey bar on our cruise last year! (that was his fav dessert!)

Please don't mention UK roundabouts. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to go through the "Magic Roundabout" in Swindon whilst visiting the corporate offices there. My head is still dizzy.

Are those parking spaces with the white lines???? :confused3 :lmao:

I do not know if anyone remembers but on the last repo in 2005, DCL auctioned off a stateroom for charity, I think it was a CAT 9, and was on ebay for their Disneywishes charity, the last bid was $19k or even higher at $20k.

I think that someone mentioned this & said that Roy Disney won that. :thumbsup2

Lava cake is desert in the dining rooms on semiformal night. :goodvibes VERY good after 2 lobster tails. ;)

This is the Palo sensation....chocolate souffle!

I can't be the only one looking for the Hidden Mickey on that plate. :)

Well the cat is out of the bag... DD figured out something is up and out and out asked if I was planning another cruise after the Med. I told her but I don't think it registered that the date is her birthday (could that be cause I didn't tell her the date). Anyhow ... I won't be lurking as much, but it is hard to keep up with you folks. I have to update my signature now!

LOL! I guess that I need to go back & change your bio. :lmao:

I took the advice of someone on another thread to contact DCL thru the website about never having received our CC club numbers or the kit or anything.
I got a response today with our numbers (yeah!) and a bunch of other info. But it also said this

So what is the Castaway Clubhouse event of which they speak there?
That's not something I've heard about!

Sorry but this CC reception is now a dud IMO. It use to be before early dinner with very nice appetizers and free drinks. Now it is rice crispie mickey heads and warm soda one morning at sea. It was during our brunch and we weren't planning to go anyway.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Andy that is great ...Sorry but I loved watching every second of that ...I still dont understand why people just dont stay at home ...Kinda like here when we have flashfloods , theres always one guy who thinks they can make it , and of course they dont ...

Unfortunately, when it hits when you are at work and your kids are at day care, you have no choice but to head out. You can't call in sick every time they predict bad weather, b/c 9 times out of 10, it doesn't come.

Not a single one of those people knew how to drive in ice and snow. You steer INTO a slide (e.g. if the car is sliding left, you steer left).

We knew the Disers on board even without the lime green T-shirts. A couple on our 10 Southern Wonder(first timers) had lanyards made up with our 10 day logo cruise on the entire band. They also made name badges that went onto the lanyards with our Dis names and our real names. I got a lanyard from Castaway Club but we always wore the two. We could instantly know who were Disers. I am not sure how much they paid and all the work put into it. When we saw two lanyards around a neck, we knew they belonged to the Dis family.

I believe it was last night that we discussed different options. Many of the people who were here said that they don't wear lanyards or pins during the cruise. The alternative that is less obtrussive for pictures yet noticable to pick out a DISer was the lime green rubber bracelet with the date & our group name imprinted in it. I can get them for .50 each and can mail them out if people send in a SASE with the money for the ones they want. There is a kid's size and an adult size. At that price it will be easy to get a couple for everyone in your family in case one is misplaced. We wore them every day on our last cruise...except formal nights.

It conflicted with the Martini tasting for us, and a gal has to have priorities.

We didn't get the reception invitation until the night before, which meant we had already missed the earlier martini class which we would have attended had we known. For me, not being able to obsessively plan every moment is the one major downside of a cruise.
