I have never heard of that policy before when I worked there!!! I saw lots of tips being given out. You did the same thing I would have done by writing to HQ of B-A-B. I hope you sent your e-mail to Maxine herself!!!

Maybe it's a newer policy, or maybe just for this store or region...... I hope I get a reply within the next few days. These kids work hard, I don't see any problem if the parents want to give them a little extra, what's the harm in that....... Most of the kids at Angelina's store only get between 4-10 hours a week, the 4 or 5 managers get 35-40 hours a week each.

Man alive, seems like our poor heater is running non-stop this morning. It is coming on about every five minutes or so, of course it is about 10* or 12* at the moment, but I know of much colder places than this........

OK, I was off by a few degrees, just went and checked Yahoo Weather, it is 16* but the windchill is 2 above zero...........like I said..........

I found out Sat. The Party is on, the party is on March 30. no matter weather I cruise or not !!! Chuck is feeling betrayed. These are the bad times and some tough choices to me made.

Lucky you ! Stay warm, It will take me an hour to drive to work. We are getting snow today and I have a foot appt. at 4:45 so I hope rush hour isn't that bad.

May CAN'T come soon enough for me !! I say this because even though our cruise is paid for I feel like things keep coming up for us to cancel. Once May has come and gone then I feel we are past that window. Make any sense??

No as of right now we are not cancelling cruise and NO matter what party is set for March 30th. I already signed contract and gave them a check.

Now here is the short version on what's going on..........such as life Chuck got @##%%^& by his company. They want him to go to fla. His contract is up March 31st. He was suppose to have a 4 year contract. Brooke has school till end of May.

We are moving but I don't know where yet? I will not move till Brooke gets out of school and I decided I AM NOT GOING TO FLA. Other then that I have no idea where we will be.

That stinks Tina.
I know how much moving sucks.

Good morning everyone - no school since its Martin Luther King Day - I get the day off! Nice to have a day off after getting robbed of that snow day last week. Just got back from my run - only 2 miles this morning, its only 9 degrees out there and my dog was freezing! Had to get out though, I am training for the Monument Avenue 10K and I am determined I will run the entire way this year! I did the 8K in Novemner so i know I am up for teh challenge. Maybe a DW marathon is in my future

I have scanned over some posts, I just can't keep up all the time. Its so wonderful you people on this board. I want to send out to anyone who needs them. Life gets crazy sometimes good and bad. Its nice to know that you are all here to be a sounding board and the encouragement offered here is second to none! You are a wonderful group of people and I can't wait to meet you all in August.

Speaking of August.... I transferred my cruise ressie to Dreams Unlimited and got a very nice stateroom credit which was AWESOME! Now we are trying to see if we would be better off letting Dreams handle our ressie with Hojos and getting our tickets for Disneyland. I have sent off an email....I expect I will hear from them today, they are so prompt.

We were talking last night, and in a way she said she is kind of relieved about not working right now. With the school musical practice three nights a week, trying to keep up with homework, and getting excited about her trip to Chicago, at least she won't have to worry about working around a work schedule for awhile.

Update on the Smurfs! Final bid $127.50!!!! I know some of that goes to Ebay and paypal fees, but it still should pay for a chunk of that zip-line DH & DS are doing in Puerto Vallarta!

I know what you mean, Andy -- it is cold here, too -- I should have already taken the dogs for their morning walk and I am finding it hard to get dressed to go out with them in this cold! Don't worry about the dogs, I will take them soon. This is the big disadvantage of having no backyard!

We take our students(2-5 year olds) to this circus each year. We tried to switch it up a bit last year and take them to Ringling Brothers instead. The parents revolted.

It's a fun, upbeat, highly interactive, one ring circus.
