I've spent most of my day working on a video presentation gift for Angelina. It took longer than I thought because I had to keep stopping to wipe the tears from my eyes. This video turned out to be more emotional than I thought it would. I just shared it with her and Hazel, they both started crying while watching it as well...............but, these are happy tears..........

I used a couple songs on the video that really set the tone, "In My Daughter's Eyes" and "You Raised Me Up" listening to those two songs, while looking at all the pics was just too much, but it's something I've wanted to do for quite sometime now. I hadn't planned on doing it today, but after we took down the Christmas Tress and all the other decorations, I just started looking through old photos, the next thing I knew several hours had passed and the video was finished.........

Found this while going back and reading some of the earlier posts. Helps us newbies figure out where the logo on the back of the tshirts came from.

Taken in context it's great, but I'm still not thrilled with it being on the back of the shirts. Just thought some of the other newbies would like to be more in the loop as well.

Curious, I was just watching one of the old POTC movies where I began to notice all the familiar lines quoted here in the movie. Maybe I'm not the usual POTC enthusiast (I do enjoy them - please don't mistake that) ... however, it was sort of new to me to hear/see the familiar lines in the movie.

as for Take what ya Can - Give nothing Back... I am Ok with it. However, I can see how some might think otherwise. May I suggest ya put on one of the old POTC movies to relive the lines as they're in the movie? Ya might relax a bit on your tolerance of this line being on our cruise shirts.

I was interested in the wine iscussions a few pages back. Anyone know if there's any liklihood of these vineyards or whatever shipping either to our DL hotel or direct to the ship? I'm not sure wine from the UK would survive the transatlantic flight, and we won't have transport once in LA & I'm sure we could do a case without much assistance!

Out of curiosity I went to the V Sattui shipping information page. There doesn't appear to be anything restricing you from shipping it to a different address. In fact, if I remember correctly - that was how it has to be handled to states that don't allow shipping of wine from the winery to the individual. You have to ship it to your warehouse first - where it becomes your personal property and then have them ship it to you - there were companies that set up business around this. Then most of the states started allowing direct shipping.

A family in DS10's class has done a DVD of pictures from the year to music every year (except last year - they had a baby instead ) He's an artist - and pictures are amazing. It's going to be a sob fest when they graduate from 8th grade and we see all those years of the class together.

We want to see the cliff divers in Acapulco and understand Disney are doing an excursion but this includes shopping etc. For past travellers is it possible to see this on your own bearing in mind we shall be at Acapulco only until 1p.m. and how do you find out about the schedules.

I haven't been there so I can't advise, but I do know many folks have been able to view the divers on their own. The problem we have is that the divers don't normally do morning dives. With our 1pm departure, we are not sure that we will even be able to see the divers. There is speculation that DCL will have enough influence to get a morning dive session, but there has not been anything formally announced.

Honest question here. Can those that have opinions on this explain to me what is offensive? I never gave it a second thought. I have no problem with my DS wearing such a shirt. I suppose it could be that I am SO familiar (and enamored) with the PotC movies. Or possibly because my DS is in middle school and not such a young child?

I've been trying to understand, but I'm just not getting it.
I don't want a debate, I just want to know what's fueling the objection.
I think it's great that there will be a front only option for the shirts, for those that want it.

Shipping Wine

I don't think the wineries or other online wine/alcohol sites will have a problem shipping to CA. Our issue will be whether or not we are able to ship to the port like we can to PC. And not sure if hotels will accept shipments of wine. I know many will accept packages for guests, but maybe not food or alcohol??? Definitely something to check in to.

Who posted that link to mousesurplus hmmmm? I have been to their site before but not for a very long time. Well don't you know I decided to go check it out again & I ended up "winning" this AKL queen sized comforter.

Although I use the term "winning" loosely because I think what a really won is a kick in the behind from DH when he sees what I spent!

Hmm, hadn't even thought about shipping to the hotel. Maybe I could send our costumes and formal clothes there instead of port. I'll have to send them a note and find out.
