Bill's father died when he was in his early 20's and never got close to him. My dad is truly the father he never had.
It is amazing how similar your family situation is to mine.
Bill's health has always been good (ironic huh?) He just inherited a very bad choloesterol/heart problem from his family. He was in extremely good health and running a good 5-6 miles a day for years when he had his heart attack. He ended up having open heart surgey a couple years after that since they did not clear all the blockage the 1st time. He was mowing the year 2 weeks after OPH surgery. That has been almost 3 years ago and all is still well.

Even a bit more similar. My DH has some health problems too. He was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia when he was 19. Back in 1986, they really didn't know how to treat it, so they just kept throwing drugs at him to try to re-start his bone marrow. Thankfully they were screening the blood supply for HIV, so he didn't get that. But he did get Hepatitus C from a blood transfusion. He has to avoid alcohol because apparently the virus is further activated by alcohol. (He may take a sip on this cruise though, but no full drinks:rolleyes1 )
He is symptom free of the chronic active hepatitis, but the steroids they gave him back then ruined his hip and he needs a hip replacement too.
We count ourselves pretty lucky that he is doing as well as he is now.

Totally off topic (wait, there's a topic on this thread? :thumbsup2 )

I finally downloaded some pics from my older camera. Here's the dog on Christmas day:

I had a nice "little" chat with Cheryl yesterday :lmao: I'm really looking forward to the mini meet of Tina's in March :goodvibes

Just saw a news blurb that adnission to the zoo is reduced. If it's under 20 degrees, it's only $2 to get in. I'm thinking I'll wait til it's a little bit warmer!:thumbsup2

Tracy - how do you have a "little" chat with Cheryl? Mine always end up at least an hour!!! :lmao:
