So, how is having 2 East coast teams in the Superbowl going to affect the interest of the rest of the counrty? Will is cause fewer people to watch the game, or do most watch for the commercials and because they are at "superbowl parties" anyway? I suspect the NFL would have prefered that 1 of the other teams had won so it would be either East vs West or East vs Mid-West...

Pamela (pdarrah)

I'll watch, only because I like football, neither team was my pick for the Super Bowl.............:sad2:

We were talking about post 9/11 trips to WDW a little in chat on Friday.

Not really

Here's a short clip

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QSSHoMx-_oY

We take our students(2-5 year olds) to this circus each year. We tried to switch it up a bit last year and take them to Ringling Brothers instead. :sad2: The parents revolted.

It's a fun, upbeat, highly interactive, one ring circus.

Looks like a real blast! I know it was here last year, hopefully again this year.

I'm now sitting here, looking at my calendar, trying to decide what I am going to do with my 5 weeks vacation for this year..........:confused3

Just a quick hello to you all. It's been a very difficult few days. DS has been improving but in the meantime I had a few health issues that resulted in emergency surgery Thurs night. I'm doing better now, but still taking it easy. DS has been released from the hospital but is in a residential facility that is supposed to ease the transition from hospital to home. He should be coming home next weekend.

I'm really ready for it to be someone else's turn. I think my family has had enough in the last 6 months to last us the next 10 years!!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: Monica you guys certainly have had enough to deal with. My heart goes out to you :grouphug: :grouphug:

Angelina is back in the ranks of the unemployed. Angelina did a birthday party yesterday at work and was fired because the mother of the child who the party was for handed Angelina a tip. Angelina said she wasn't allowed to accept tips, but the mother insisted she take it and put it in her pocket. The manager on duty saw this and told Angelina she was no longer needed at the store.............:headache:

Andy, I really hope you get a response from the top. Hopefully, they will question the real motive in that mgr firing her.

May CAN'T come soon enough for me !! I say this because even though our cruise is paid for I feel like things keep coming up for us to cancel. Once May has come and gone then I feel we are past that window. Make any sense??:confused3

No as of right now we are not cancelling cruise and NO matter what party is set for March 30th. I already signed contract and gave them a check.

Now here is the short version on what's going on..........such as life Chuck got @##%%^& by his company. They want him to go to fla. His contract is up March 31st. He was suppose to have a 4 year contract. Brooke has school till end of May.

We are moving but I don't know where yet?:confused3 I will not move till Brooke gets out of school and I decided I AM NOT GOING TO FLA. Other then that I have no idea where we will be.

Sorry for your rough times. Sometimes good things go bad. Moving with a Teenager is difficult at least. Especially when you get settled in with school and drs. etc. But what may I ask is wrong with Florida? Is there something I am missing?

Very strange. For some reason, contortionists always bothered me.

Dress warm Julie, I went out front to get my newspaper at 6:30 this morning and the cold air took my breath away.......

That is exactly what Rich and I were talking about yesterday when we saw how bitterly cold it was in Chicago. I am sad I didn't get to see my cousins but knew when the invitation came we were not going to Chicago in the winter. Just too dang cold.

Off today. My seniority comes in handy sometimes. Windy outside but way warmer than the last few days. Hope everyone stays safe.

Hearing the temps and the wind chills for the GB game brought back memories of my winters spent walking to class in Madison.

I didn't know you went to school in Madison! My DH works on campus, next to the Red Gym if you remember that.

Hazel just left to go food shopping, she asked if I wanted to go, I said, "Nope, I'll be out in the :cold: the rest of the week  thank you very much."

Morning all!
It is cold (for us) and cloudy. I just could not wake up this morning. Makes me very glad I could just roll out of bed, log on and start working. I love working from home!
I know we alll will experience some kind of trial and tribulation before the cruise and, I agree that it is so nice having a great bunch of people to share it with.
Our challenge is my MiL and her attempt to control my DH on some inheritance money. He wants her come on the cruise with us if a room comes up (I am thinking since I am the one checking-one will never come up ;) ).
Anyway- Hope everyone has a great week and all bad things turn good.

Coral

Hey Coral! Kevin's on his way down/over to Dallas today to see about a new bike, how's the weather?

Here's the one he's going to check out:

I'm now sitting here, looking at my calendar, trying to decide what I am going to do with my 5 weeks vacation for this year..........:confused3

Its January and I have not even thought about vacation in 2009. I am really falling behind this year.

Hazel just left to go food shopping, she asked if I wanted to go, I said, "Nope, I'll be out in the :cold: the rest of the week  thank you very much."

I have to make a BJ's run today, and I'm putting it off.

For some strange reason my kids have school today. It was listed on the master calendar we got at the beginning of the year as a holiday, but we got a phone call on Thurs. from the school's automated contact system with a message that there is school today. DW has work today, so we're home, but if we had planned to be away for a long weekend, I would have been really ticked off.

Pretty much the same here. Even my DH noted the difference in our parents saying that mine treated us like we were smarter than they were. His parents always acted like we were not too bright. They were shocked when we wouldn't let them go house shopping with us. My MiL actually ordered me not to sign anything until she had read it first:mad:
Darren's father died from ALS back in 2003 and he never really had a close relationship with his Dad. Kinda nice to see him bond with mine.

Sometimes these health scares have a silver lining when they make you focus on the really important stuff:hug:
Hope Bill's health is better:hug:

Bill's father died when he was in his early 20's and never got close to him. My dad is truly the father he never had.
It is amazing how similar your family situation is to mine.
Bill's health has always been good (ironic huh?) He just inherited a very bad choloesterol/heart problem from his family. He was in extremely good health and running a good 5-6 miles a day for years when he had his heart attack. He ended up having open heart surgey a couple years after that since they did not clear all the blockage the 1st time. He was mowing the year 2 weeks after OPH surgery. That has been almost 3 years ago and all is still well.

When we were at WDW for 2 weeks after 9/11 those pins were absolutely impossible to find. Every single patriotic symbol was snatched up before it could even be displayed.
We were in a huge line for some ride and someone walked by w/ the American Mickey pin and was asked where they got it. They guy said they just got a shipment in on the cart outside. People who had been in line for 15 minutes abandoned the line in droves to try to buy them- of course by then they were gone.

My 2nd favorite story was when were in a character line there were some English folks behind us in line. I said "Thank you so much for supporting us during this time". Their response was an immediate "We are in this together". Made me tear up.:sad1: I thought that was so nice.
