Just got back from the doctor, had another mammo and I'm so happy to report that ALL IS WELL!!! I'm just shadowy.:cool1: All of your prayers and pixie dust must have helped, thank you. Now maybe my face will stop breaking out! ;)

Woohoo Debi! That's great news & I'm so happy to hear good news!!!

Well I do in fact have a ear infection. Doctor believes it is from surgery something about where the tubes were and draining to prevent this kind of thing. Her only concern was that I was on the strongest antibotic since last week because of my other illness and says I really shouldn't have gotten this. I now have another pill to add to my list and some ear drops.

Wow Tina that stinks! Hope you feel better soon!

Hey Everyone

Been popping in and trying to keep up with the posts, but Im so far behind I'm not going to bother. Just been soooo busy with life and getting ready for our upcoming vacation (17 days to go) to Punta Cana DR. that I havent had time to dis. I cant even make chat on Friday nights,, I've been collecting the candy fundraiser money the last few fridays and by the time I get through all the envelopes and count the money I cant keep my eyes open.

I dont know if this info has come up already or not, I spoke with a rep from JetBlue today. I was just making a general inquiry into when the Aug rates would be available. She baiscally told me within the next 2 weeks they should be published. She said normally it is 6 months out, but they usually publish the summer rates when they post for May. She said allthough she couldnt tell me an exact date, she did say keep checking it would be soon.

Other than that I hope all is well with everyone

Have fun on your vacation!!! Thanks for the heads up on Jet Blue! :thumbsup2

I bet Diane is happy right now, Red Sox 4 Rockies 1, but I will have to wait until morning to see what the final score is, it's getting to be bedtime for me....

13-1 right now in the 6th inning! popcorn::

Hi everyone!

I was just doing some "ketchup" and noticed all the upcoming vacations and suddenly realized "Hey - I'M going on vacation in 2 weeks!". I knew it was coming - it is on all my calendars, but since it is in November and I've been so swamped here lately, it just seemed farther out than it really is. We leave the night of the 7th for a long weekend at WDW (fly home the night of the 11th). This will be our last WDW trip on our AP's - we won't be renewing them since with the TOAL we don't have any vacation time to visit WDW next year :sad1: We'll get our park fix for 2 days before the TOAL, but we won't be able to visit WDW afterwards since we have to get back for DS8's school. 2008 will be the first time in decades that we won't visit WDW at least twice!

Pamela (pdarrah)

We'll be leaving the day before you arrive, but we're pretty much in the same boat. Using up our APs but we won't be purchasing them next year due to TOAL!

Happy Anniversary Andy & Hazel!!!

Love it!!!!

It's time to go and pick up our ST from school.

Hazel and I had a nice relaxing day. We went to lunch, at the same place we ate our first meal together, as husband and wife 32 years ago today. The diner hasn't changed much, except it is under a different name. The food is still good and we shared a slice of strawberry cheescake for dessert, then it was time to pick up my paycheck, then did a little shopping for our upcoming trip. :goodvibes

We leave for vacation in 10 days!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ANDY AND HAZEL

I understand California is getting lighter cooler winds for the next few days hope it all goes well,

But every silver lining has a cloud, Bush is coming to see you!

All the best.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh you and DH will get along just fine :thumbsup2

In London there is an extra Charge for driving in central London each day, I think its now £8 per day, you have to pay it on-line or in shops camera's take pictures of all car registration number plates as you drive into the area and if you haven't paid you will have a fine.

Eight pounds?? Ouch!

Ug. Hope you don't have to go to the injectables. That's the only thing that worked for DS10 when he had chronic ear infections at 2. Ear tubes fixed them though. (We had to have them removed 4 years later! That Army Doc really stuck them in there.)

Well, I took the plunge. Just purchased the return flight from the cruise. Paid $30 more than the lowest fare, but the trip home is 2 hours faster! It was worth it.

Still waiting for SW to come out with their summer fares. :bored: (actually, what I really wanted was a smiley with tapping fingers.)

Not in honor of anything, just a little chuckle...

Since Cheryl posted the Darwin awards. I thought I would post this story.A friend sent this to me awhile ago and I often wonder if it is true. Enjoy
.....................................

Only in Louisiana - you have to love this lawyer!

Everyone who has ever bought a house will enjoy this. A New Orleans lawyer
sought an FHA loan for a client who lost his house in Hurricane Katrina and

wanted to rebuild. He was told the loan would be granted if he could prove
satisfactory title to the parcel of property being offered as collateral.
The title to the property dated back to 1803, which took the Lawyer three
months to track down. After sending the information to the FHA, he received
the following reply: (Actual letter):

"Upon review of your letter adjoining your client's loan application, we
note that the request is supported by an Abstract of Title. While we
compliment the able manner in which you have prepared and presented the
application, we must point out that you have only cleared title to the
proposed collateral property back to 1803. Before final approval can be
accorded, it will be necessary to clear the title back to its origin."

Annoyed, the lawyer responded as follows: (Actual Letter):

"Your letter regarding title in Case No. 189156 has been received. I note
that you wish to have title extended further than the 194 years covered by
the present application. I was unaware that any educated person in this
country, particularly those working in the property area, would not know
that Louisiana was purchased, by the U.S. , from France in 1803, the year of

origin identified in our application. For the edification of uninformed FHA
bureaucrats, the title to the land prior to U.S. ownership was obtained from

France , which had acquired it by Right of Conquest from Spain . The land
came into the possession of Spain by Right of Discovery made in the year
1492 by a sea captain named Christopher Columbus, who had been granted the
Privilege of seeking a new route to India by the Spanish monarch, Isabella.
The good queen, Isabella, being a pious woman and almost as careful about
titles as the FHA, took the precaution of securing the blessing of the Pope
before she sold her jewels to finance Columbus ' expedition. Now the Pope,
as I am sure you may know, is the emissary of Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
and
God, it is commonly accepted, created this world. Therefore, I believe it
is safe to presume that God also made that part of the world called
Louisiana.God, therefore, would be the owner of origin and His origins date
back before the beginning of time, the world as we know it AND the FHA. I
hope you find God's original claim to be satisfactory. Now, may we have our
d_ _n loan?"

He got the loan.

Thanks everyone for the anniversary wishes for my bride and I, today we start working on year #33!!! :goodvibes

This gave me a chuckle, just a few minutes ago I heard a bloody scream coming from the bathroom. Angelina was getting ready to get in the shower when she spotted a tiny spider in the tub. Dad to the rescue, the spider is now taking it's final swim down the drain.

Wow Diane, 13-1, I went to bed at the top of the 5th inning. I guess the Rockies 8 day lay off didn't help them any............

G'mornin' pirate:s

Where was I last night? Coaching hockey at the Verizon Center. :)
DS7's team was selected for "Mites on Ice" so they got to play a 5 minute game between periods of the Washington Capitals-Tampa Bay Lightning game. It was prety cool. They had a very nice locker room, got to stand a few feet away as the NHL players came off the ice, and had their names and numbers up on the jumbotron. I got to coach from the NHL bench.

However, we didn't get home until about 11. I am sooo not looking forward to making my kids get up in a few minutes.

Just got back from the doctor, had another mammo and I'm so happy to report that ALL IS WELL!!! I'm just shadowy.:cool1: All of your prayers and pixie dust must have helped, thank you. Now maybe my face will stop breaking out! ;)

YAY!

Thought all you pirates would get a kick out of this story:

MISSING:

one "beat up" fake parrot
red head, green tail, looks like macaw
answers to the name "Parlay"

if found, please return to Red Sox bullpen
no questions asked

The Pirates of the Black Pearl (a.k.a. the crazy members of the Red Sox bullpen) are in dire straits- because it seems that some unknown person crept into the 'pen under cover of the AL Pennant celebrations, and parrot-napped the Pirates' mascot... a stuffed parrot they've named Parlay.

I can't understand why any baseball team in the World Series would want to associate itself with "Pirates". Hasn't anyone seen Pittsburgh's record over the last 20 years? Hasn't worked out too well for them....

Okay for us Americans.....what is a congestion charge???? Is it like a toll for driving???:confused3

It's what my Doctor is currently billing me to get rid of this nagging cough I've had for three weeks.

No, wait. That's a DEcongestant charge. Never mind.

Can't comment on Ipswitch, but Basingstoke is ot that far & not a place I like as I always get lost! Once I had to visit some-one there & ended up ringing them as I was so lost & they came & retireieved me from a local hostelry! As for Swindon - nasty one way systems & roundabouts where your heart lives in your mouth, you close your eyes & hope you make the other side! Definitely not high on my tourist recommendation lists!!!

My first time in the UK, a long time ago, visiting our office in Swindon, I told the cab driver I'd get so lost on all of the roundabouts, so he asked me if I wanted to see the "Magic Roundabout". So he took me around it. No way I could ever drive it.

My kids were impressed I'd worked in a building (also in Swindon) that was once in a James Bond movie, though, so that's something.
