Obviously you DO lurk here because you seem to have noticed our signatures and photos.....How else do you expect this many people to get to know one another. We care about each other's lives. We want to see what a special day someone here had. I realize you may find it annoying because you do not know most of the people here, but we do care. If you do not want to take the time to get to know your fellow travelers then why would you want to folow our lines of communication? At times there are several conversations going on at the same time. Most of the itme we have talked about a special trip and then posted our photos or are sharing our children.

Maybe if you came on less accusationally and just asked what information you were trying to obtain, you would realize that there are no less than 50 regulars around here who would gladly answer your concern. I don't have a great deal of time either. I read only the last few pages when I come back on. I know if I missed anything majorly important someone will have requoted it or one of my fellow PEEPS will let me know. I am sure I miss things that people say or do but you do what you can. I don't think it is worth being upset at those who do care to chat alot. (Tom can't help it if he is a lawyer and has no work to do........ ...Tom I am truly kidding)

Anyway just wondering what you were hoping to accomplish by insulting posters here. If you want to be a part of the group then that is GREAT but just jump in and accept those that have a different approach to this thread. I am not trying to be rude I just think that we are a family of sorts and I just think its a little rude to walk into a strangers home and insult their lifestyle. You might want to get to know them before you criticize so readily.

And BTW many many people have GTY because DCL overbooked the cruise. They will not be assigning rooms until full payment. So you will have to pay before you know what room you will be in more than likely.

Thank You Judy for saying so eloquently what a lot of us (well ok - I can only speak for myself - I was/were feeling! )

I HATE to feel attacked and I did feel attacked. However, I will turn the other cheek in the hopes that Mike will take your advice and have a change of heart. After all - this is Disney!

I understand many people don't like us but I for one relish our talks and I am one of those guilty ones. But when life is going to pot around you sometimes you need a little extra boost to help you make it through the day!

Well said by you also Laura. I chose to just ignore the posting, but I am glad that you all replied. Both Judy and you said it eloquently(OK there is that word again for the umpteenth time)

It may seem mindless chatter at time but it is really heartfelt interaction among friends that gets more heartfelt the more we learn about each other.

I for one think it is worthwhile.

I was just trying to convey a frustration of not being able to follow any threads because I don't get a chance to come on often and there are sooooo many posts that it's very hard to keep up. Apparently my choice of words was poor. Again, if you were insulted, I'm sorry.

I certainly haven't read all the posts -- in fact I didn't post for a long time because during most days (school year) I only get an hour of computer time a day and I didn't want to use ALL of it reading ONLY this thread.

I knew I'ld have more time this summer -- not as much time as I would usually have...why oh why did I allow my 9ds to audition for 2 plays and allow a director to talk me into letting him be in her show (at another theater) for a total of 3 plays this summer... DH will tell you I am insane.......

I really do want to get to know the majority of the people here. The 10nt Southern was the first DCL cruise that I had the experience of getting a DIS group together! And I ended up orgainizng things by default. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!! I will probably be friends with a handful of them forever!
Two of those couples are going on this cruise -- and post far more then I do! We are hoping that there will be at least 2 other cruisers from that cruise on this one when all is said and done.
David -- you know by the time this cruise comes along I will be one of the top posters, don't you?

edited to add -- my DH (Zircon -- no posts but, quite a lurker) and my 16dd (Pirana) lurk on this board and read almost daily! DH started lurking on this board before I ever started posting -- I think whenever he is at his desk he has this thread open while he is working. LOL!

I'm sorry that I missed chat last night it sounds interesting ...... as usual.

We spent over 3 hours at the Pet ER with JoJo the DISDog. After all that time with over $500 in xrays and tests we are fairly certain that he is getting old. It appears to have been just a bad day for him.

He gets bed rest, no stair climbing and rice with chicken to eat (which he loves!)

I left him at home with my DW to look after him.

Actually, that's not the case for me since, technically, I paid. I'm using my DVC points for the cruise and they have most assuredly been taking out of my account already, so the cruise is "paid" for. It's probably more like overbooking that is the case. When I asked Member Services about it before they said, "The cruise line has not released any rooms for us to book yet." I've asked them to link my room with the 5-day post cruise as well, so maybe they will let me have the same room. We'll see.

Its fine. I know it can be frustrating to all of us type A people who feel the need to do things completely. I have personally just had to give in to the idea that I can't read 20 pages a day. I start at the last page and read a few. Chat is really a great place to connect in real time to others.

OK this is what I thought I remember that someone found out........that although you individually might be paid up, they are not planning on assigning rooms on the repo until the final payment date. The reasoning behind this was that many will cancel and then they will not be overbooked and can "hopefully" for them find all who want a room an asignment. Some of us do have room numbers and I guess those will stick ( although I think nothing is absolute at this point) but we did hear from DCL that room numbers would be received at 90 days out or whatever the pay date is.

Ok did I dream that? Someone help me out here.

I am an Ordained Minister in The Salvation Army. Ministers in this Army are also Commisioned as Officers.

Each town that has a unit of The Salvation Army has Officers assigned to it. Usually it's a married couple because both the husband and wife are ordained and commissioned together.

My current assignment is what we call headquarters where we oversee all the units in Maryland and West Virginia. My particular assignment is in finance (CFO). Most weekends our headquarters staff visit the units for Sunday services either to just visit or participate.

The capital "O" doesn't really imply anything but is simply a convention.

Stepht ----Todd REALLY likes Friday niight "sushi". His favorite part about it is the wifesabi.

I told DH that the next time we're in FL we're going to Gators - we have nothing like it up here and I really like it!
