Hey when are we all getting together? I keep asking Cheryl, but she is usually to busy on the boards to give me an answer.

Anytime for the get together.. are you looking at a weekend? Maybe June or ??

Weekend, weeknight, whatever, I imagine. I work in Arlington Heights so I could always do something after work. I doubt I'd get SWMBO to show up -- she is anti-social about these things. And the kids don't know about the cruise yet so we don't want to tip our hand.

I have never worked anywhere that had the temp regulated right. Always cold on on side of the building and hot on another.. must be something in the building of office space that the temp is just not perfect on each part of the floor..I worked in Sears Tower and the building is divided into zones but still hot on one side and cold on another. i guess the average temp is okay..but I haven't found that spot in the middle that has the average temp..

Similar to our house.. DH is anti social and won't go to any of the DIS meets and the kids aren't going on the cruise.. So it is just me. Once school gets out, and scouts stops for the summer, I am open after work. We can do it on a day that I work from home so I'm in Palatine..

We've been running at 76 degrees...

Yeah the only problem is when is gets hotter than that outside....THe temp goes up in here cause the units can't keep up...

Luckily the windows still open....

My office is freezing again this morning. It's like there must be some kind of state law.

Nevermind that we turn off half the lights in the building during the summer to help ComEd conserve electricity on hot days but we refrigerate the offices.

Yep we turn off the lights too and it is really dark on the inside of the floor since all the natural light from the windows go into the VP offices..

Oh they keep it frigid most of the time. There was a time that they would go around giving out logo'd jackets, sweats, blankets. But since the big merger, nada.I keep a pair of socks and slippers in my desk. Last night my feet were so cold. People think we are crazy dressing so warm here in Fl. for work.

Which is about the only light coming in or out of a VP's office in my company.

I can actually stand up and see a window from where I work. Unfortunately it looks out onto the courtyard so all I see is the other half of our building.

In my old cube, at least I could see Rt. 53 to find out if traffic was getting bad.

I did get SWMBO to attend the DIS brunch at Palo in December and it didn't require any arm twisting at all. But that may have been because it was brunch at Palo.

She had a great time, I think. Mostly because the ladies spent a good bit of the brunch making fun of me.

Our lights are computer controlled. You have to call a number and give them the number of the light (mine is 2319) and then (maybe) it gets turned on.

We lost a chiller on the roof a bit back and the Company turned off all the lights and closed the blinds on the windows ( there are trees in front of my desk so the closing of the blinds was dumb) they brought around ice pops, and the A/C company brought these strange fans in that connected to the ducts in the ceiling. They said Tomorrow you can come in shorts. I just brought extra batteries for my personal fan, and dressed reg. The building was so cold the next am in spite of the system still not being fixed. Everyone wearing shorts and tank tops were freezing.......
