<chuckles>

So this evening we hit the good ol' Home Town buffett... my spouse sort of dislikes the place - but I'm a happy guy cuz there's no cooking - sufficient variety and the kids get well "loaded" on vittles. So I don't have to wrrow much about hungry kids near bed time. Well... they're usually not hungry the next morning too... <heh-hee>

So... I ran a ton of errands today. Covered probably 150 miles drivin' and I have just a few chores remaining on my to-do list while the spouse is away. Don't tell her - but she should have loaded me with more stuff ta do!

SO now I'll start lacing backwards to see what transpired today - then I may skip back a few days to the last point where I lost track of events...

DCL should be able to tell you after the depost if it is on your acct.Mine wasn't and they fixed it for me. Most TAs tend to forget to mention the Disney Visa and the SBC.AS long as you correct this before you board it can be fixed.

I thought yesterday was bad enough what with the rain and hail, but this morning at 7:55 for some unknown reason, the power went out. So I had to get out earlier to get some breakfast before work. Good thing I called to report it as noone had. You know, everyone thinks that someone else called it in. I could tell by the recording,I was the first to report. . DH said the power came back around 11ish.What a pain.Hope tomorrow is better.

Yes DWTS was really good tonight. It's really a hard call to make. What will be harder is Idol. When you get to the end, they are all good.

Nite all!

Good nite Arlene!

Hi Tom!

I'm sort of with your DW. I don't really love Home Town Buffet. My DS just loves it however. Sometimes when it's just he and his dad they sneak off there. I think there is something about the endless supply of food that greatly appeals to his crazy teen boy appetite! Just another reason he also loves cruises!!

Here are a couple pictures from DS's first communion...even though the priest said no photos. Sorry but we got there way early & others had their cameras out and we were in the front row. I turned off the flash BTW & held the camera low so he didn't even see it. ;)

Somehow DS got in the front and center position for the group picture...surrounded by pretty girls.

Smart boy!!;)

What a cutie pie! He looks angelic yet full of mischief all at the same time. No wonder the little girls love him!

As usual, your post made me smile. :goodvibes Oh...there would be someone with a long nose....but it wouldn't be me. :sad2: Today has been a bit worse as far as being a single mom for the week since I can't talk much and am feeling run down. Hopefully tomorrow I will get some good stuff from the doctor so that the rest of the week wont be as trying.

I am all sympathy here...

... as my spouse and I - plus the little one are all sufferring to varying degrees from allergies. And it is just sapping my strength - and my poor little one is running through kleenex tissues like there's no tomorrow. Fortunately the older one seems immune to wjatever is floating in the seasonal air.

At any rate... I hope you are feeling better soon Lisa - one wat or the other. I generally dislike seeing doctors as they always tell me they are looking for something wrong with me (their job) and I am of the foolish ilk that I'd almost rather not know! Silly ... but I tend to avoid seeing the doc as long as I can .... if possible. I huess as I get older it is gonna be more important to let them "Do thier Job" and monitor my condition closely so as to catch really bad problems early - if possible.

Awwww....

What a CHARMER.... and surrounded by the girls... Hmmmmm. I'm gonna have ta have a chat with MY girls about sweet talking cute boys before we get to next August!

Seriously... my older daughter seems to have a boy she ... "likes" ... in her class. My spouse picked up on this some time ago... and when I paused to ask my daughter about it... she coyly acknowledged she liked a certain boy... but ... to put it in her words... she said: "I'd rather not talk about it".... sigh.... what am I ta do as shes' only SIX. :confused3

Tom that is a mistake so many men make. My DH also hates to see the doctor. But a good doctor should not just be looking for something wrong with you. Your physician should be a partner in maintaining your optimal health by promoting preventive care and counseling you on healthy habits that will keep you well. You are very important to your loved ones so you need to take good care of yourself!

Here it is with all the warts and bumps. Didn't have the patience to edit it. I did try to capture the banner on the top deck, but I really lost it due to the sun being in front of me . But hope you enjoy this amateur video. Oh the end when she was in the ocean, she just sat there for a long while not moving. I would've stayed a bit longer but there was man sleeping on the bench next to me and I was afraid he was going to wake up and see me standing over him:rotfl:

COOL!!!! Thanks for sharing! :cool1:

Welcome aboard!!

As a newcomer you have three high priority taskers:
(a) send lbgraves all your personal information, name, address, kids' names and ages, hair color, drink preference, DNA sample and of course email address
(b) change your sig lest the cap'n dole out some lashes
(c) ketchup on all 3900+ pages of posts in time for chat on Friday...yes, there will be a quiz: why is captaincrash called "crash"? is lil'grumpy really a pussycat? which way does the Captain's (Todd) sparrow fly? is sk8ingmom overcompensating for that whole ice skaters are wimps thing...and is she really a sleeper? how long after sk8 moves to DC will she be arrested for sucker-punching some idiot who asks if she had running water out there in the Alaskan wilderness? where exactly is enna? is justmestace the worst mom ever or just ST-challenged? are STs really that stinky? will MR O'Blender overdo her pre-cruise primping and not be able to walk because of an overzealous waxy in addition to her mani & pedi? how many wenches are going to wear the Ariel thong? how many swabbies are going to wear those pirate: shorts in front of the Palo window during the wenches tea? will darth be naked for the rugby match? and most important....who will win the pirate: posts contest--swabbies, wenches or the Captain?

I hear ya Mary...

.... but sometimes I feel as if the Doc is on a revenue generating witch hunt sometimes. I just et twitchy over it all sometimes - and I am sometimes a bit skeptical of some recommendations. Silly me, eh?

Thank you for the encouragement though. You sound like my spouse - as she tells me the same sort of thing all the time. Eat right... exercise more... brush my teeth and where's the flossing???... etc.... ;)

I took 2 years of Spanish and 2 years of German in High School 25+ years ago.

If you combine all of our language skills, we should be able to handle a small united nations. ;) Add Russian to the list...my minor concentration in college. I wish that I could have spent more than 2 years studying it. It is a beautiful language.

And considering the Gas Buddy gas price temperature map http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx shows Cali (and OR and WA) with the highest gas prices in the country ($4.02/gal in Mariposa County)....OUCH! I filled up last week at Sam's and the woman ahead of me in the Suburban had a tab of $138!!!! :scared1:

A Furr's opened in town before we left NM. We really liked it. Good food (the best fried chicken--almost as good as great-grandma) with plenty of variety.

OK...I am down to 10 more pages until I am ketched up but just realized that it says that I am reading yesterday's posts because it is 1:13 am! OY! Guess that it is too late for the Nyquil tonight. Wish me luck with getting some sleep tonight. :(

:lmao: I'd take the Nyquil anyway. Since they changed their formula, that crap is about as good as Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill wine...but more expensive! :rotfl:

I didn't go see a doc about this ailment...I'm down to just a dry hacking cough and producing enough phlegm to fill a swimming pool. You're welcome for that visual

People have been saying it's an allergy thing and I have the "Colorado Cough" :headache: Plus, some folks showed DW the giant patch of ragweed that just bloomed on the lot of what is eventually going to be a house behind us. They said the ragweed will dry out then spread its pollen and seeds everywhere including our backyard! :scared1: So now in addition to the lawn insect killer I have to buy pesky plant killer. :sad2:

Awww....

an' "I" wanted to snag the "00" posting... but I got beat by a Mod-Wench no less. <chuckles> Seriously... Lisa, it's never too late to take something to help ya rest. In fact, may I recommend a Vicks/Nyquil cocktail? ....

2005-01-15.gif

Seriously, I would just say take some hot water with no-caffine tea - thats' what I do a lot of the time on a regular basis. That may be why my dentist and hygenist are always telling me I need to use thier expensive floridated toothpaste all the time <chuckles>.

Anyways... sweet dreams Lisa... don't let the beddie bugs bite!:surfweb: I;m gonna hang out a little while longer ....

I'm enjoying the "shock value" of that "visual"

Plus I too have a weed problem that is gonna require some hasty chemical warfare tomorrow too! So it seems like we're all sharing similar issues - remarkably!

I figured that this question would bring you out of lurkdom. pirate: :goodvibes I know that we will watch this movie...at some point. We all enjoyed DMC...though it did take me a few viewings to get to see the entire movie & put the pieces together. The big question for me is.....will we wait until the DVD comes out this time?

And suffer walking the plank ?? I think not ...I thinks you needs to be going to theater to support the cause of breaking Spidermans record so Pirates can be on top again .....Think of it as being a nice treat for you and the kids ...

and you guys could dress up too ...see what a good time you will have
