I was checking my older emails and found this link to the POC on the 7 Seas Lagoon event one of the members of this thread is going to (forgive me,I forgot your name) Some of the items are really cool.

I have friends going on the Med cruise 070707. They leave for Barcelona 07/04/07. Can you tell me how you arranged your excursions if you don't mind?
They have no idea what they want to do. I can't figure this out because I would have had everything planned out and asked alot of questions. I told them they should get on the DIS boards and they can get alot of infor from fellow disers.

Hey Karen, not sure if Andrew's still around. But here's a thread where a bunch of the Med cruisers have been discussing various options. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1314699

Are they going DCL? If so, they probably won't be able to book DCL excursions. I was just reading a thread that many of the excursions are already sold out at the 75 day mark. And no one has been able to be Palo ressies at the 75 day either.

I'd be willing to try an Atkins freindly meatloaf - what do you use for the bread crumbs? I can not do Atkins, and there in lies the problem. We eat lots of chicken around here so I don't have to cook two meals

As for ribs, mine are famous (in my circle anyway) and I can not bring myself to cook them any other way...

3-4 lbs baby back ribs
2 cups ketchup
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup honey
4 cloves garlic crushed
2-3 TBL ginger crushed

marinate for 24 hrs then bake 2-3 hours @ 200, basting every 1/2 hour. I make them with LOVE , but not very Atkins friendly.

I like Ribs.

and then there was the time that all the police, fire, and anyone listening to a scanner in our town heard this: "No need to bother the couple parked in the high school parking lot, it's just Blank's kid & his girlfirend. It's been a long cruise."

I am back and forth a bit as the MED threads are very active tonight, lots going on, shore trips getting sold out very very fast.

Would this explain Captain's "pricing" comment?


Regarding the actions of a few parents, my DD played in all girls T-ball & Coach Pitch Softball the last couple of years. We had to have local law enforcement out twice. Once was for coaches fighting and the other was a mom fighting with the coach, and these are just 6 & 7 year-old girls. I think 95% of people get it, but those other few really can suck the fun out of a game.

However, my parents were at a recent mini-mite hockey tournament in Detroit last month with a nice experience. The hockey tournament was for 6-7 year-olds. My nephew's team was playing in the tourney. There was also a team from London, Ontario area in it. They were suppose to be in another tournament for better skilled teams, but that one was cancelled and this was a last minute change for them. Well, their team was extremely more polished, so the coach was doing all he could to keep it fun and not embarrass the other teams (ie. playing d-men on forward and forwards on D). Checking is not allowed, but at one point, one of this Canadian players checked a player on my nephew's team. Nearly all of the Canadian team's parents yelled at that player and one of the parent's apologized to my dad saying that "that kid knows better. We don't play that way and he'll hear about it." Dad was impressed, not something you'd typically see responded to in that manner here in the U.S.

They are going DCL but have no idea what to do. They are going with a group who traveled together in 2004 on the Magic.
