1) What was the last thing you read which was longer then 2 paragraphs? I bought Memoirs of a Geisha in the Anchorage airport Thurs. night, I'll be done before I hit the ground tonight. I have a thing about not seeing movies based on books until I've read the book, so now I can rent the movie.

2) Do you have any favorite catagories of reading historical fiction, history, biographies, social criticism

3) What did you bring to read on your last trip? C'mon - fess up - name it all if ya dare!In Hawaii I finished Cane River and started Our Mother's War about women's experiences during WWII

4) Any word games you like to engage in? What are they? Is sarcasm a word game???

5) DO YOU REMEMER what sort of GRADES you got in your english or literary classes? What were the classes and your grades??? What-ever you can recall A's...don't ask about math.

6) Who reads more - you or your spouse? DH reads a lot, but I read more.

7) What is the next book (or anything) you plan on reading next... be it tomorrow or tonight? ..... or when-ever.... I'll finsih Geisha, then I'll finish the WWII one, then I don't know. I usually have a least 2 going at a time.

I can't tell you how much I LOVE that I have found an entire community of other people who just NEED to know the location of the 4 closest liquor stores 17 months before a trip!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Pretty scary isn't it?

Quick share - my ST Son - called me at 12:28 pm to ask me if our DVC paperwork had already gone in - me of course - asks why? As I'm bewildered as to why he's calling me that time of night to ask that ? (We bought via CM price for the pts) anyway, he tells me that his supervisor upset him so much that he threw his badge at him effectively quitting. :faint: :faint:

That was me - then at the same time my inner'ds are screaming - NO NO NO NO! while also saying - he can't quite like that he's union - while also saying: Duh! :headache: Its April Fool's!

When he didn't get the reaction he wanted - partly because I was in  :scared: he screams out - April's Fools!

Not funny I tell him - not funny - doesn't he know that Micky is sacred? You don't mess with the almighty Mickey!

Now  how to pay him back?? (I wonder if he'll make it to our cruise next year?) :lmao:

I think I know where we'd have the BLENDER party!!

And just think, that room for a 7 Night Eastern runs a mere $9,000 per person! :faint:

per person ???? :scared1:

Not to mention that it keeps us home & off the streets at night. ;) :happytv:

Yup, before I found the DIS, I just wandered the streets at night.

Received this e-mail from DCL this morning concerning the Panama crossing.

The Captain reserves the right to ask large cruisers at the first lock of the panama canal to either get off and catch the train to the other end, or when the ship is in the lock to ‘jump’’ upwards when the bridge makes an announcement, ship to assist its levitation.

:lmao:
Love the "jump" inaccordance with the bridge announcement part!

I had the thought that the navigators could have the Friends of Bill W meeting followed immediately by the Friends of Walt DIS meeting (for the DISaholics)

I think we started planning these meetings before we could even book the cruise.

That woud be Friends of Lisa G. Our meetings will have better beverages. And :cake:

I'm still in MN...waiting for DH. We managed to get on the same flight from here to Anchorage.

He was suppose to be here an hour ago...

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Hoping delays don't separate you....

Observations from an airport:

It takes a while to recognize the Muzak version of "Heart & Soul"

Maybe I've been hanging out with 4th grade boys too much, but I have to admit - I rather like this one...

What happens when you cross a pirate with an octopus?
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
You get a guy with nine arms and a cannon.

I post the list Monday thru Sunday...so there is just noone with a birthday on the cruise. :)

Um, just a quick correction. On 4/15 it's Jakob, not Jacob. At 10 it matters, when he gets to 30 he'll probably stop caring... :)
